Shopper THis is just the harness without the backplate? I'm not sure what the picture is showing. It looks to me like the picture has more than just the harness.

You get the webbing with all the hardware (D-rings, buckle, etc).
This webbing is stiffer than say Halcyon, which is know to be a lot more flexible and softer. But Halcyon is probably a lot more too.
But I like this webbing since it stays looped out and less limp. YMMV.
ORVILLE Y I have returned the harness straps that I purchased by UPS yesterday. I inclosed a letter explaning my mix up in the first order. I thought I was ordering the complete backplate and harness. I purchased the first harness system with American express and requested the purchase price to be added to the purchase of the complete harness and bachplate. Thank you for the inquiry. Orville L. ASHTON H Yes, it is just the harness the back plate is sold separately. Included in the purchase is the stainless steel buckle, 5 D-rings, and 5 clasps to secure the D-rings. The harness is all one unit that loops through the backplate in one continuous flow. There are instructions included with the harness that demonstrate the proper way to secure harness to backplate but even with instructions it takes a little bit of tinkering and adjusting to have complete comfort.
