Always happy with Ocean Master products (I have a purge snorkel also), this mask also pleases. The purge works well and you get a wide and clear view with this. It also comes with a nice case and a slap strap, so no hair pulling! If you can use the following as downsides they still should not effect a true snorkeler: mask does fog up, but we all know all masks do this! and the case is hard to fit into most fin/snorkel gear bags. Otherwise this is a great mask for the price and I highly recommend it!

when I received the mask, I tried it on. Range of vision and fit were ok. This is my first mask with a purge valve, and I didn't like it. I could not reach my nose to clear my ears. Being able to clear is more important to me than purging mask. I will send this one back.

It's my first mask with purge valve so I don't have any previous experience to compare it to but the fit is pretty snug around the nose, so if you have a large nose you might want to try this mask on before buying. The purge valve works just fine but because is sits higher than the bottoms of the lenses there is always a little bit of water pooling there. I really like the strap adjust mechanism, but becasue it has a fairly high profile it hits my first stage reg. sometimes if my tank slides up and I tilt my head back far enough. I guess you can't have it all.In all I like this mask and will use it rather than my [$]mask with no purge valve.

A mask is a very personal item and I think it is hard to find one that fits just right. I wear my mask with the band rather loose and it still does not leak. I love the purge valve! It's easy to clear throught the purge valve or the traditional way. And it's easy to equalize. Even if a little of my hair gets under the mask it does not seem to cause problems with leaks. I would certainly recommend this mask to anyone but of course it would have to be the right fit.
