Shopper What about a safe 2nd reg (octopus)?
LeisurePro S Here is the octopus for the full face mask. To use it you have to detach the primary regulator from the port on the front of the mask (special valves/seals keep water from flooding the mask while you do this) and replace it with the octopus. This is a new skill that takes a bit of practice to get used to.
Shopper What is the Nitrox percentage this mask can handle?
LeisurePro S This mask is not Nitrox compatible. Unfortunately, we don't carry the Neptune Space Raptor, which is Ocean Reef's Nitrox compatiible mask.
Shopper Does using a full face mask require extra training, ie do I need to get certified in using a full face mask in order to use it properly?
LeisurePro S Further training is HIGHLY recommened before using a full face mask. Just like, say, a dry suit, a full face mask is a highly technical piece of equipment and will take some additional knowledge/getting used to. Check with your LDS to see if they offer a full face training; normally it consists of just one or two pool session of 2-4 hours.
Shopper Can I use the Ocean Reef Neptune Space mask with other regulator than integrated regulator? If the integrated regulator breaks down can I change to new one with out buying another mask?
LeisurePro S If you are interested in changing the regulator or wanting to in the future, use different regulators, you should look at the Ocean Reef Neptune II which is compatible with many regulators.
Shopper How do you know which size to buy? Does this mask need to be "fitted"?
LeisurePro S It's a little difficult to know your correct size for sure, but you can think back on your experience with other masks...have you had to look for masks for smaller narrower faces? Do masks normally feel large or small on you? My best advice is to say that if you have a smaller, narrower face to go with the small/medium. Otherwise, choose the medium/large. There is no "fitting" of this mask aside from strap adjustments.
Shopper this looks like an amazing mask. only, when at the surface of the water, is it possible to turn off the regulator so you dont waste your tanks air? Like, an equivalent to taking out your regulator and/or putting in your snorkle.
LeisurePro S Yes, there is a valve on the mask (the "surface valvue") that can be opened so that you are able to breath from the air at the surface and not from your tanks.
Shopper Hey just checking the includes section says this comes with a 2nd stage reg does it use the 2nd stage to breathe with ie is that the 2nd stage in the image if not what is the 2nd stage used for, why is it included i mean
LeisurePro S The second stage is pictured on the main picture, and is what is used to breathe with. They mention that it includes the second stage because the mask is available without the second stage as well.
Shopper does the Ocean Reef Neptune Space Full Face Mask with 2nd Stage come with the first stage? Is this mask/regulator combo ready to use out of the box?
LeisurePro S It does come with the first stage? it is ready to use out of the box, you will still need a first stage though

LeisurePro S This is a balanced second stage cold water ready and will work with any common scubapro first stage
