(unknown) ( hi, why does it come with a low pressure hose? can you use a high pressure hose with it? and the regulator comes with a second stage ,your refering to the tank's regulator? thanks in advance worry for thge silly question first time getting full face mask....
WILLIAM H I have had my full face mask for a little over a year now and enjoy it very much. My wife and I have the comminication devices also and it works well. The hose that comes with the mask works fine for me.I couldn't tell you wether a high pressure hose would work or not. The only thing with the full face mask is if you are an air hog you will be a bigger air hog especially with this mask and if you are not you will notice a little more air consumption. Like the fact that the mask does not fog up and you have a bigger view. Enjoy your new mask.
SHARYN S The mask does not come with any fittings or hoses. The mask sets up like any normal scuba configuration -- it requires the first stage (tank regulator, if you will), hose (HP or LP, depending on your set up), and the second stage (the regulator in your mouth or on the mask).
STEVE D The hose you are currently using for your 2nd stage will work with this mask if the connections are the same. This mask replaces your 2nd stage that you would normally put in your mouth, the hose they supply connects to any low pressure port on your primary ( yoke or DIN ) and supplies low pressure air to the 2nd stage built into the mask.
NIN G The mask comes ready to use, no problem. So, when they say 2nd stage regulator- you know the regulator you normally breath from? It's attached to the tank by the first-stage, and then a hose, and then the 2nd-stage regulator with the mouth-piece you breathe from etc.. The full-face mask's 2nd stage (with the purge valve and airflow adjustment knob) is connected to the front of the mask, so this is a regulator built into a mask, which you connect using the low-pressure hose to your first-stage (you'll need a wrench and hex drive probably to attach to first-stage, and this is why it comes with the hose). I heard it's possible with the high pressure hose/port, but I don't recommend it since it may leak and shorten life-span.
JAMES C I got this mask about three weeks ago and went through a lot of this. You need to have a first stage regulator on your tank, this connects as low pressure just like a normal regulator.
I would also recommend getting the quick disconnect for it, this way you don't have to have the mask banging around on your gear all the time.
KERN O The second stage is built into the mask itself, so it requires the pressure drop that you get from the first stage. It runs on the same pressure as your BC does, so you simply attach the low pressure hose to the low pressure side of your regulator on the tank. They offer a quick disconnect, which is very handy, so you might consider buying the hose and fitting.
One other note: On your first few dives, you will probably go through a lot of air until you re-adjust your breathing and your face position. The wide range of vision and the lack of fogging is great.
RYAN G Hello. I use the mask with the hose that it came with and it works flawlessly. There is no complaints from my book. Breathing is very comfortable and it can be adjusted. It is a very comfortable fit as well as easy to don on and off. I do recommend the surface air valve so while at the surface you can conserve air in your tank. I I would presume that you can use a high pressure hose and be fine with it. The mask has the regulator built in so you don't have to purchase a new one. That is the second stage. Joe M if i decide to buy the mask without the communication package can i add it on later? I also saw different accessories for the mask online, can those be added on at a later time as well?
JERRY R yes you can add the communication package later as for the accessories make sure the are for the mask model you pic. great system my kids and i dive all the time with the system and i wouldnt have it anyother way.
SHARYN S Yes, the communicator can be added on later. Unless you regularly dive with people that dive with a FFM, you'll find very few divers with a FFM and even fewer with the communicator. As for accessories, everything can be added on later, but at the very least get a hose, the FFM does not come with one.
CARL W I bought this mask without any of the acc. Within a week, after the first use I bought the swivel. I am now going to purchase the com unit and a second mask with the swivel and com! Love the mask! Best thing I have ever bought for diving!

RAYMOND S the second stage regulater is made just for the mask and as for as I know.I used my oceanic regulater for my first stage,I also would recomend the surface valve ,A longer primary hose and quick disconet and a swivel to connect the mask.
WILLIAM H No......the regulator is built into the mask. Infact the mask is basically one big regulator. Hope that helps.
Shopper does the optional surface valve make it fog less when breathing through it or does it just keep water from getting in?

Brett H This unit is setup for standard ~145 psi input, Ocean reef may have a kit or alternate model for lower pressure setups but we do not sell this.
Josh J I'm curious to know if one of the side ports has an adaptor or comes ready to accept any standard secondary (backup) second stage regulator? I'm sure a second stage failure is extremely rare for this unit, but in case of failure other than free-flow, would the only option be to remove the entire mask and breath from your octo or other redundant air source?
Brett H The side port can accept an adapter that you can attach an octo to, but that is not included with the mask, and we do not sell this accessory.

Brett H The medium / large size mask should fit your typical male face that is average to slightly larger than average. If your face is larger than most mens you might find the mask a touch small on you.

how durable compared to the ots guardian mask?
Brett H The mask is nitrox ready to 40% out of the box. We have not had any issues with the durability of the ocean reef masks, I would expect it to be on par with the guardian mask.

The Neptune Space G.divers mask is available in 2 sizes and 4 color options and includes an integrated balanced 2nd stage regulator with a low pressure hose. The patented bellows style face skirt, molded from premium grade silicon rubber, uses a spring profile and large sealing double the size and spacing (30-45mm), to achieve a very comfortable fit and ample support This spring effect is a combination of the double S section and the inner support ribs which allows the G.divers full face mask to float comfortably on the face.
