I have used my ffm in pool dives and several ocean dives.
The product is great, nice fit to my face, great comfort with the silicone seal against my skin/face.
The only small negative is that it need to be adjusted with weight to be more neutral in water, i found out that my mask in salt water neded about 350-400 grams of led weights inside the mask.
If i did not use the weights, i would be pretty tired in my neck after 20min of diving due to it's boyancy.

I have used mask type and another and found the OCean Reef to be an excellent mask, no problems at all, Awesome Vis, No Fogging and no leaking. Have had a blast using it, now looking at buying my own FFM. I would highly reccomend this mask, but as a diving Instructor would also highly recommend training for its use prior to diving. You MUST practice donning and removing the mask while underwater prior to diving and always carry a spare mask in your pocket for use with your Octo if ever you are required to bail out of the FFM (Which is very rare).

This is a great mask that offers a whole new way to dive. I wasn't going to write a review but after seeing such a negative review from someone I had to because I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on something like this if they were thinking about it. It is just like breathing on land and the range of visibility is far better than a conventional mask. As far as the ignorant statement from a negative review I read you do not have to use their 1st stage for the mask. It does state that you have to use it in their manual but I called the rep for Ocean Reef in California and they said you may use it with any 1st stage of your choice, and that they themselves use other 1st stages with this mask while diving with them. As far as the add ons are concerned they are "add ons"; you do not have to purchase any of them and the mask is ready to dive with as is. I do however recommend the surface air value as it helps you conserve air while on the surface. The octopus adapter is not necessary and it takes the place of the surface air value. If you choose that as an add on instead it allows you to breathe off of your oct if your primary fails without removing the mask and it is priced at $38 from Ocean Reef direct. I prefer the SAV and there is a skill video located on [@] instructing you on how to breathe off of a regular oct if the situation should arise. Watch the video first to make sure this FFM is right for you but it truly brings diving to a whole new level and is well worth the money and all you need to dive is this mask with any 1st stage and you are ready to go.

I did end up returning this mask,[...] When you get the mask it automatically needs expensive add ons. You need to buy the specific 1st Stage, you also need to buy the Oct adapter, why you would even sell a mask without this I am not sure. This mask is not usable when you receive it, at least not safely.
