SECOND STAGE
One of Oceanic's smallest and easiest breathing second stages, the Zeta is a tad more than two inches in diameter and weighs just 5.8 ounces. The featherweight is attributable to the housing material, which is impact resistant ABS/polycarbonate composite. Even the ring that holds the integrated purge valve in place is lightweight, formed from triple plated aircraft aluminum.
The Zeta's tiny size, featherweight and anatomically designed mouthpiece translate to minimal jaw fatigue. An extended exhaust cover sends exhalation bubbles off to the side, so they don't rise in front of your eyes.
The Zeta is so compact and easy breathing because it has a servo-valve design, which makes inhalations nearly effortless. The servo valve debuted in the Omega second stage more than two decades ago.

FIRST STAGE
Constructed of chrome plated marine brass and featuring a rubberized end cap, the CDX5 has a balanced diaphragm. With this design water doesn't enter the first stage, which makes it excellent for ice diving (it won't freeze up) and diving in waters filled with contaminants or sediment (it won't corrode).
Weighing 29 ounces, the CDX5 is one of Oceanic's heaviest first stages. As does the Zeta, it comes ready to use with air or nitrox mixtures up to 40 percent. Two high pressure and four low pressure ports assure a place for all your necessities and accessories.
