Questions about this item:
Shopper Does this computer have a nitrox mode or air only?
STEVE C Not to my knowledge, I have only used compressed air. Reviewing the manual I cannot see anything that states nitrox.
Miyuki S This does not have a nitrox mode. It is air only. The Oceanic "Veo 180" Air/Nitrox Dive Computer SWIV Double Gauge Combo SKU: OCNV18C has a nitrox mode as does the
Oceanic VEO 1.0 Air/Nitrox Dive Computer SWIV Double Gauge Combo SKU: OCNV10C,
Oceanic VEO 2.0 Air/Nitrox Dive Computer SWIV Double Gauge Combo SKU: OCNV20C, and Oceanic VEO 3.0 Air/Nitrox Dive Computer SWIV Double Gauge Combo SKU: OCNV30C.
DONALD K It is air only. The geo 200 is the nitrox version.
KEN R air only, but very good for the price
THOMAS K No, this version of the Veo does not have nitrox mode.
Terry L Can the computer on this be removed and double as a wrist computer if I also buy a band? And what band is it? Thanks in advance for the help?
Sheila M Sorry, I have no idea.
ERIC T Yes it can be removed and put in a wrist mount boot. The SKU: WB6 should work, it fits my genesis resource pro like a glove and the veo is the same size.
KEN R I don't think do..great computer.easy to use
MILOS E Yes, you can buy band to use Veo 100 on the wrist. Not sure, if the Leisurepro carry them, but you can buy one direct from the Oceanic web site. But honestly, it is little bulky looking on the wrist .
Kenny H Just to clarify, is there a slot on the reverse side of this console for installing a compass?
THOMAS K Yes, there is a slot for a compass.
JASON B No just a small hole in the rubber.
Shopper How many dives does it log?
Shopper Can I use this with a Scuba Pro MK 25 Reg?
ZEBULON N yea its the universal fitting to thread in. I would recommend one with a back light though, if you do any cave or night dives. Thats the only downfall ive noticed with it 36 dives worldwide.
KENDALL B Yes you can. I had this on my MK25 last summer with an A700 second stage, it is a nice unit.
KB
KEN R Used it today..perfect.inexpensive, ergonomic, upgraded..aaaaa
amandabk a How does this compare to the Aeris XR-1 Computer Console?
GARY L They are virtually the same. I have an Oceanic computer which I purchased in 1999, which is still working well. When I bought this new computer, I decided on the Oceanic because it is the same readout as my old computer, so I don't have to learn a new system. I have been very happy with my Oceanic equipment
Scott R how do I get my access code for the video class?
David R It should come with it when purchased, If you did not receive it please call customer service for them to send it to you.
Sheila M Maybe contact Oceanic?
Michael H Does it have an audible alarm for rapid ascents? also i live in australia with a Mares R2 dfc first stage, would the house connection be compatable with this? Thanks.
WILLIAM L It does not have an audible alarm to my knowledge.
CRAIG M Yes, on the alarm and I have had no problem hooking it up to my Mares. It's been a great bargain for me. I would have liked the online class for changing the battery, but the rest is easy to figure out.
DAVID J No audible alarm but yes it will connect to the rig you have. Look at the oceanic pro plus 2 its well worth the extra money. Look at the extra money for a top of the line computer is a "Life Saver".
Robert B What is the size of the computer (1.75", 2"), is it possible to install a standard depth gauge later and purchase a wrist holder for the computer?
PENNYS A I have already done the free class and there was no info regarding the hooking it up to a computer to download my dives.
This is an 2" computer.
ED S although I haven't tried to do this, it appears to me to be a standard size gauge and would probably work with a depth gauge. why buy a wrist depth gauge, instead?
MELANIE G I transferred my veo to a wrist strap and replaced with standard comPass. Hope that helps
Robert B Thank you for the information. I plan to use it "as is" for now, but wanted to know what options I had for future use.
mac s does this model come with a new hose or do i need to use the old one?
DALE G It came with the hose.
CAROL P Yes it comes with a hose. I wasn't sure I remembered since I bought it in 2007 but the website says it includes the hose.
LAWRENCE M It's been a couple of years - but I'm sure it came with a hose. This is the "best bang for the buck" computer. It's simple, dependable, and relatively cheap.
DAVID M Hi There,
It's been a while since we purchased this computer, but believe it came complete with hose. Don't remember having to get anything else for it.
Best wishes!
PRIMO E You use your current hose, but I would not recommend buying this model. I have bought 2 of these and they both have battery issues. They act like the battery goes out, but even with known good battery they sometimes work and sometimes flash battery and turn off. Very frustrating. There is a reason these units cost less.
DONALD K It comes with a new high pressure hose attached to the spg. No need to keep your old hose.
MIKE R When I bought mine it came with a new hose.
Mike
DEREK B The gauge console comes with the hose, ready to screw into the HP port on the first stage.
ZEBULON N Yes it is all ready to hook up to your octopus with new hose, ive been using this model for 33 dives so far in 3 years, works good the only downfall i do not like is that there is no back light.
Shopper Is this also Nitrox?
THOMAS M No Nitrox, at least not on the one I have.
BRUCE R I don't use Nitrox, so, sorry to say, I can't answer that question.
ADAM P The Veo 100nx is nitrox capable. I have the Veo100 which is not Nitrox capable. I like the Veo 100 over the nx version because it displays the date of the dive. I heard from a friend that the nx does not. They could have made updates though. I do not dive Nitrox.
THOMAS K No, this model does not do nitrox. I believe what you want is the Veo 100 Nx.
Shopper How does this compare with the Oceanic Veo 180?
LeisurePro S The Veo 100 cannot be downloaded to a PC and does not have a gauge mode for doing technical dives (if you should go that route in the future). The Veo180 has these features as well as audible alarms and backlighting.
Shopper Does the gauge come in Bar instead of PSI?
LeisurePro S Sorry, we only have this in psi currently (although the units on the computer can be changed between metric/imperial). The only computer/gauge combo we have available in metric is the Aladin Prime 3 (SKU UTCAP3M). Or type 'metric' in the search box to see all of our metric options.
Shopper Is this computer nitrox compatible?
LeisurePro S Not nitrox compatible.
Shopper Is this an air only or Nitrox computer?
Shopper Does the Oceanic Veo 100 computer combo come with a compass on the back side?
