Very good knife for the price. It's easy to carry in the BC or clip on a D ring. I like the metal heel of the knife that I can use to get my buddy's attention by banging on the tank.

I've used it about 6 months and had no problems. I make sure to rinse it with fresh water and put a very light coat of silicone grease on the metal - absolutely no rust when doing this.

The reason it only got 4 stars was because I had to return the first because the piece that attaches to my BCD was broken. That piece could be better.

I have purchased two of these spinners over the years and can tell you the item is very insecure in the sheath. After several dives you will find that the knife had fallen out of the sheath during an entry. You have to constantly chek to see if it is somehow loose, which is very annoying.

Avoid the knife. Sadly Oceanic has set grommets that only one knife can be attached. So you are married unless you have someone install an extra grommet for the standard knives. I will be doing this in the near future.

Bought this model when I got my OW cert, blunt tip with a sliding tab lock. It. Was. Awesome. I had an issue with the mounting bracket, and when I brought it to the shop they replaced it with newer stock- no more lock tab, and now a pointed tip.

Apparently they stopped making the locking tab model, most folks I knew seemed to run into issues with it. With this new style sheath, my roommate lost two knives on recreational dives and I've lost two while leading students.

The blade (especially blunt-tip!) is amazing, the sheath leaves much to be desired.
