Shopper Does this BCD have a rigid back-plate?
TOM P It has a hard surface for the tank but it does not cover the whole back of the BC. My wife has over three hundred dives and no complaints if that helps.

HARVEY C My wife's Oceanic Hera Medium size weighs 9 pounds.

CHUCK H I bought the large for my wife. It weighs about 7-8 pounds dry. Hope that helps
Shopper Does it come with a LP hose?
RICHARD H Yes, they have. All of my girls are using the Hera now because they like it that much and every one that we have purchased has come with the low pressure hose.
SARAH J It does not but, since I now have a computer unit with an LP, I know it works extremely well with the one supplied by that company. Enjoying many warm and cold water dives with this BCD and I love it.

Shopper Does it have a rubber grip on the strap or on the back plate?
EDWIN H It has a rubber grip on the back plate but not on the strap. The tank holds firmly in place.
TOM P Yes it has a rubber grip on the back plate the tank will not move when the tank strap is secure.
CLAUDY ANN K I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think so......regardless, this is an awesome BC......I am completely happy with it.
JULIE N I'm not sure what strap you are asking about, but I don't recall a rubber grip anywhere on the BC. The backplate is padded and comfortable. At the top of the backplate is a molded plastic ribbed handle for carrying. The only thing that "grips" is the rubber and velcro enclosure on the left shoulder to keep your inflator hoses tendered. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.
DEBORAH W Not rubber, but there is a good size hard plastic grip on the back plate.
I prefer this, because it will not tear or rip from wear over time. It causes no discomfort due to the placement. With all the features, this is a very well thought out product.

I am 5'0 and 145 lbs, I wear the small and it is a great fit, plenty of room. I'm guessing your weight is about 122 lbs, I would think the XS may be a better fit for you. I LOVE this BC! The women's cut make such a huge difference in comfort! I'll never buy another standard fit BC

HARVEY C I am also 5'-2" and wear a women's size 8, I weigh 135 pounds, I have a size small Hera and it fits perfectly. I have also let my daughter, who is 5'-3" and only weighs 100 pounds borrow it, and she is comfortable in it also. I love the fit and performance of this BC.

BRANDON D C Hi Irene. My wife really likes her Hera BC.... says that overall it's the best one she's ever had in 20+ years of diving. But she's 5'9" and 125 pounds, so we're not exactly sure about your sizing. Hers is a small. If we were to guess, we think the XS might be better for you?
LAURIE S I believe you would want a small. I have the large and I am 5"8" but with a 38 chest and mine fits like a glove. This is a fabulous BC that you will thoroughly enjoy!!

Shopper What is "lift capacity" and "Air XS" ???
LeisurePro S Lift capacity is the amount of weight the buoyancy can counteract. So say if you are wearing a lot of weight (for cold water diving) or going to be carry heavy eqipment (reels, cameras, etc), then you would want to make sure your BCD's lift capacity was greater than the weight of all that stuff so you can always be positively buoyant. Oceanic's Air XS is the combo octo/inflator that integrates into your BCD inflator hose and eliminates the need for an octopus on a seperate hose.
