Pioneer C can this reg be used on a hp tank & will a din to yoke adapter work ?
CAROL M I am sorry that I can't answer the question. We are recreational divers and just love to dive on vacation. I do love this regulator though. Very smooth and comfortable in the mouth.
CARMEN G HELLO, I HAVE OVER 80 DIVES WITH THIS REGULATOR AND IT HAS BEEN MAGNIFICIENT. I HAVE A DIN ADAPTER AND HAVE USED IT SUCCESSFULLY WITH DIN OR K TANKS, WETHER THEY BE 120 STEEL OR 100, 80 OR 50 ALUMINUM, AIR OR NITROX.
KEEP ON DIVING!!
WILLIAM W Two years ago I converted this exact setup from a yoke to a din and have had no issues with utilizing a din to yoke adapter on an HP tank as that is what I currently use as well for both doubles and single tank diving -
I am very happy with this setup, Hope this helps
VLADIMIR J yes, works with din to yoke adapter. shld work w/hp, is top of the line oceanic reg. ask oceanic through their contact us page
note that at factory setting this reg slightly free flows when second stage is set to fully open with the adjustment knob and venturi switch.
so, i think because of the sensitivity of the setting reg will major free flow when going from out of water into water and vice versa, like at entry or after removing from mouth at the surface following ascent. if happens when you're neck deep in water the reg will do a helicopter move around you as you try to spin endless circles to try and catch up with it - can not be caught without the help of a buddy or getting the hose to drop by getting out of the water so the hose drops. have your tech dial back the factory setting so reg does not free flow at full open. or, just get a regulator necklace to prevent the helicopter ride (it is as noisy as a helicopter when it happens).
i like the 4 fdx10 and have used it for 3 otherwise happy, trouble free years. have used it in temps from 48F to 82F without trouble, up to tech depths and in every dive position including vertically up side down. but if i had a choice, i'd go for the atomics which are even better: T2x or ST1 - the swiveled ones.
JERRY T Well first let me tell you that I absolutely love this regulator; the inline swivel makes this one of the most comfortable regulator that I own; it is extremely light as well; Now for you question concerning the HP connection, I would refer this to Oceanic; I concurrently don?t use a DIN but if I recall correctly you can change the YOKE to a DIN; but as I stated this is a better question for Oceanic; Good Luck
WILLIAM C yes , have one on mine
DAVID E H This reg has a yoke fitting, and therefore can only be used with a tank that is equipped with a yoke valve. Most hp tanks are equipped with din valves. However, many, but not all of these din valves, can accept a threaded insert adapter which will convert the din connection of the tank valve to yoke. The din tank valves that can accept yoke adapters are usually referred to as 200 BAR Valves or "Pro Valves". A din tank valve that has been converted to yoke, with the above mentioned yoke adapter, can be used with this regulator. Note: the above mentioned adapter is a tank valve adapter used to convert the tank valve from din to yoke for use with a reg with a yoke fitting (the reg in question). This is reiterated in attempt to avoid confusion with a regulator din to yoke adapter which is used to convert a reg with din fitting to yoke for use with a tank equipped with a yoke valve. The reg in question is a reg with yoke fitting. Therefore, a regulator din to yoke adaptor would not work.
ROBERT E I think that would be a better question for someone from Oceanic, although I don't see why not.
What I can tell you is that I've been absolutely pleased with this rig - it is easily the easiest breather in my dive locker, and I've got various rigs by Zeagle and SCUBAPRO. I don't think you'll be unhappy!
