Can I put this octopus with my mares abyss regulator ?
Yes.
Will this regulator work well in cold water and does it have to be attached to a piston-type 1st stage, or can I use it with a diaphragm 1st? Would it make a good combination with my Apeks XTX50 primary reg?
Will work well and can be used with a diaphragm 1st stage. Apex is fine for it. I would not recommend water colder than 48 F
