Can you add an alternate air source to the LPI?
Yes, but there are very few combo inflators made for Mares BCDs (mares doesn't even make one). Check out ATMSS1S which should fit Mareses.

In addition to the power inflator, there are two quick dump valves on this BCD-- on on teh right shoulder and one in the rear.
