Absolutely effortless breathing at all aspects: upright, inverted, upside down... Great for reef or wreck diving when looking into or under obstructions at odd angles. Does not tend to freeflow. Does tend to pull on the mouth if using stiff hoses: I recommend a 6' air hose wrapped around the neck (good for wreck diving buddy use and eliminates mouth pull) or a swivel to reduce jaw fatigue. I have outfitted my whole family with these because of the reliability and excellent value. It's hard to get a better reg at any price, and hard to get any reg for less than this one. Our primary use: air or nitrox, reef and wrecks above 40 degrees F and 130fsw.

Good regulator for the money. It probably could do with a slightly longer hose and it does free flow a little more than other regs I've used when not in use but it really hasn't been a problem.

I haven't used it in cold water (18-27 deg C) but taken it down to 40m without any problem

Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this as a good entry level reg.

Got this regulator to use with a pony bottle because it was on the cheaper side. Its a very large regulator and causes some jaw fatigue. But for the price, can't ask for much more.

This is a good, basic, entry-level regulator. It breathes easily and has a great price-point. However, any time the mouthpiece faces up towards the surface while out of your mouth, it will go into freeflow. Seeing how it is in my mouth 99% of the time, this was a minor issue. I would recommend to others, but only as a value-priced starter.

Used this reg for 10 dives in cold water and no issues. Went down to 95ft, hit a thermocline of 5 degrees C, and breathed like I was 10ft down. Sucked my bottle down to 200psi and didn't have to struggle to get air. Great entry reg.
