Shopper Can we purchase prescription lenses from you (not the bifolcals on the website)? A friend really just needs them for close-up focussing - like reading glasses.
Frank L We have lenses available for this mask, but it would only correct for distance, not up close reading. These lenses also do not correct for astigmatism.

GERALD L I have purchased full lens prescriptions for this mask from Leisure Pro in the past, but I don't see that option any more. I wouldn't reccommend the bifocal as you do not know that it is in the right place for your focus. It could be worse and conceal your gages in an optical abberration. I have used the inexpensive fexible plastic lenses for this, but then all I need is to un-do the full lens prescription back to zero. These can float out, but generally do not as they are held in place by the vaccum seal left after the water used to place them has evaporated. If they do float out they are cheap to replace. After I knew where they belonged I marked the location and glued them in with crystal clear epoxy, that works much more satisfactorily.

JASON P If you do not require prescription lenses for everyday (surface) use, then do not buy prescription lenses for your SCUBA mask.
I have perfect 20/20 vision at distance, but need reading glasses for close-up work (including enjoying close-up sea life when I dive).
I have used the standard bifocal lenses for this mask, as well as the standard lenses with stick-on 'cheaters'. Both work equally well.
If you buy prescription lenses for close-up use, then you will not be able to see anything at a distance.
kieran l I have an x vision MID with prescription lenses. Will the lenses transplant and fit into a normal x vision mask?
Frank L If the mid has the liquidskin, then it would need to be an X-Vision Liquidskin as well. But yes, they would fit.
Amy T Some reviewers mentioned this mask comes in different sizes. I have a small face. I saw different answers about previous size questions. Should I assume that this mask fits small to large faces equally well?
JOHN H I recommend trying on at a local store first. They are made for a wider face.
MARK H Mask comes in one size - but it's pretty adaptable. If you can try one on at your LDS, you could check the fit. I've had two of these, and they are really good masks. First I bought at LDS after testing in their pool. Low volume with good visibility.
DEVIN S I have a somewhat narrower, smaller face, my girlfriend has a rounder, larger face, we both find the mask fits well in the standard size. The trick is that the silicon face skirt is very pliable and seems to conform well. With a small face, just realize the skirt will cover more of your face, reaching higher up to your hairline (and sideburn area), causing potentially more leak issues because of hair that might get trapped under the skirt. Just requires you to be more careful when putting the mask on (wet your hair first).

JASON P At the time (prior to my LASIK surgery), I needed a prescription mask, and this fit the bill...the correct lenses were readily available from Leisurepro.
DEVIN S Already on my second set after 5 years - great view angles, very comfortable and easy to get a no-leak seal every time. Only started to leak after the skirt lost its pliability after years of sun, sand and salt. (in my opinion, completely normal)

Shopper hi! what is the difference on this mask and the mares x-vision MID?
GARY S The Mid fits a slighty smaller smaller face. Don't take that to think it is a kids mask. It is an adult sized mask.
Marilyn S The MID is for smaller, narrower faces. Otherwise they are the same. The Liquidskin version is softer.

TINA C I believe the only difference is that the Mares x-vision MID is for people with narrower faces. The width is different.
