Shopper Does this bag fall under "normal" sized luggage for airlines? (ie will I be charged for an oversized bag?)
RICHARD A I have traveled to Fiji and the Bahamas with the bag. The airlines did not charge any extra fee for the bag. You can check you specific airline by measuring the length, width, and height of the bag and visiting their website or calling them.
ART R It depends on the airline. Each can have different definitions of over sized on their sites. The real issue is weight. Just returned from Cozumel and it weighed in at 66 pounds. I travel quite a bit and have status. The airilines let me have the higher weight bag. Its been a while since I looked, but Continental would let you have a sports gear bag of high weight and not charge you - as long as it was 100% sports gear, regardless of status. I suspect all the airlines are different with weight too.
SHANE C I have used the bag on dive trips and ski trips and have never been charged for an oversized bag. i love it. But you must be careful you can easily pack over 50 pounds in it.
TERRY O Yes the bag is normal size. Do be careful to weigh it before you go because you could pack well over the weight designated by the airlines. We each have one of the Mares bags for diving, use it everywhere we go and just love it. The airlines have yet to destory them, actually even injury them.
MARK Z Only if you exceed 50lbs. Which is easy to do with this bag. But size wise it's not considered oversized. It's about the weight so check the weight limit with the airline you use. BTW I have taken several trips with this bag, awesome bag.
MICHAEL P I just took it on Spirit airlines round trip and didn't have a problem. Be careful though because it can hold a tremendous amount of stuff and could put you over the weight limit. I didn't have a problem with the size though.
JEFFREY J M It is oversized. This is quite a large bag, and if you fill it with dive gear, you will have no problem going over 50 lbs. The bag itself is quite light, however, and I am really happy with it.
VALCIR G Yes, it does. You won't to be charged.
I i have Never be charged for it.
ROBERT K Hi, I took this bag to numerous places in Australia and had no problems with any of the airlines. Excellent bag, you'll like it!!!

JAMES S It falls under "normal size" no extra charge for the size. Best bag EVER!
MARK B It isn't oversized. Just watch your weight because you can stick everything in it. Big with lots of pockets. I also use it for traveling with my hiking equipment.
Now let be tell you about Leisure Pro. I ordered a "returned" one at a discounted price. They were temporarily out and they ended up selling me a new one for the discounted price. They are great to buy from.
