Questions about this item:
Tom A Does it come with 1 or 2 bands?
ROBERT S The gun itself has 2 short bands that propel the spear, but it did not come with any spare bands, if that's what you're asking. It's actually a pretty nice speargun for the money, nothing very elaborate, just a functional small gun that isn't too cumbersome to carry around while you're snorkeling. My sons really enjoyed using it while we were snorkeling in the keys.
NANCY H When we bought ours a couple years ago, it came with one.
Shopper whats the best and safe way to cock or load this speargun?
LeisurePro S Cocking this gun is pretty straight forward. The band takes a little effort to pull back, but if you have something to place the back of the against it helps. You simply pull the band back towards the back of the gun and hook it around the shaft notch. The trigger releases the shaft from the band and shoots the spear towards the fish.
Shopper how long is the shockline?
LeisurePro S The mini carbine has a reach (total legnth of gun (19"), shaft and shockline) of 6 feet.
Shopper can you put a rope on the gun so you dont lose the spear?
LeisurePro S The gun comes with a shockline, which is basically a rope that keeps the spear attached to the gun.
Shopper What would be classified as "Small Prey"
LeisurePro S Little fish 1' or less in length that you can get close to e.g. within 8 feet would be a rough idea.

Whats in the box:Spear Gun, Shaft JBL724S, Slings One JBL614, Shock Line JBL565 Don't let the price tag fool you, the Carbine series delivers more bang for your buck than anything in its class. Just like its bigger brother, Carbines are constructed of 1" (2.5 cm) 6063 aerospace grade aluminum and feature high-strength stainless shafts and triggers. They're powered by one or two 1/2" (13 mm) Hi-Mod bands and a low-profile, pistol grip handle that makes for easy target acquisition. So, if you want a spear gun that will bring home plenty of fish without breaking the bank, the Carbine fits the bill. The Mini Carbine comes equipped with the JBL724S 24" (61 cm) with a 9/32" (7.11 mm) diameter Stainless 17-4 spring steel shaft, has one JBL614 sling with 302 stainless steel wishbone. A durable molded corrosion free ABS Handle and Muzzle, guns overall length is 27" (68.6 cm) and has a 9' (2.74 meters) range. The 2011 JBLD-5 & D-6 both have a shaft with integrated point and barb, no need for an extra spear tip. However since the tip is still threaded, if you wish, you can add adapter JBL815 which will then let you connect any 6mm JBL spear point. JBL's fixed spear points are a perfect blend of durability and performance. Each point is designed for low maintenance, dependability and most important results. The JBL565 Shock Line will keep your gun and spear shaft attached to one another when you shoot helping bring in the game. Click below fo r more information
