Clears easy. I'm an advanced diver with a back ground in cold Great Lake diving and tropical. This Genesis snorkel worked beautifully and should be great for beginners, too. The mouthpiece fits great even with my braces! My four family members have used it and a younger niece and nephew. No discomfort issues. Excellent snorkel. If you have problems clearing this snorkel, you'll have problems with any snorkel you chose. Please practice.

Thought the whistle was a good idea, and the price is very reasonable, but this is just not a good snorkel because the flexible hose is so stiff that the mouthpiece is constantly being pulled, practically out of your mouth, so very fatiguing, not to mention uncomfortable. In addition, the flexible hose is pretty thick and so it kinks when bent, another negative.

Good snorkel for price. I found that because the flexible hose is pretty stiff and it was in my way a bit when I was using my regulator.

Didn't use it yet(bit cold in Michigan). Feels comfortable enough, seems like it will work good. Bought it to replace old snorkel that broke. Whistle is a nice added feature, best of all, the price.
