Kipp K Is this regulator good for cold water diving? I see it listed as so in some of the reviews but not in the features for the unit.
WILLIAM L I own two of these regulators, I am happy with them and the service that I have had with Genesis concerning their computers was very positive and that goes a long way with me. The regulators have easy breathing and when you turn the flow adjustment knob the diver will notice the diffrence. I detect water now and then but nothing that is unacceptable. I have done a couple of hundred foot dives in the Bahamas and felt the air flowing as I needed it. As I said I have two and niether have had to go in for repair service. I have done over three hundred and fifty dives with them I would recommend the regulator.
MARYELLEN C I forgot to mention that the only reason I rated this as a starter regulator is because it is slightly large, and just a tad heavy
MARYELLEN C This is a good starter regulator and works well in cold water. I like this regulator.
MICHAEL D I have not used it for cold water diving, the coldest I have used it in was maybe 70F. I can tell you it has been an excellent regulator for warmer water diving, I am very pleased with it.
ERIC G Sorry Kipp, don't know about cold water on this. We've used it regularly and it's performed fine but always in warm water.

MILA R I looked back in my logs and my coldest dieves were 49*F and 45*F and it worked fine. after almost 5 years diving with the reg the only conplaint was the mouth piece was no good for me ( I finaly got one of those you form for your mouth that was like 100% better) and I noticed only when I;m inverted does it breath a bit wet, nothing major. If you dont invert no problem. all and all I would recomend it. if you do get it make sure to unscrew the metal ring on the front and clean the salt water off everytime!
