Questions about this item:
Shopper On the temp gauge is it in farienheight or celsius?
JOSHUA D You can switch between F and C.
David R The one above is in farenheit
JONATHAN H mine doesnt have temp gauge. unless you are talking about on the computer then its in fahreinheit. i think it can be changed to celsius though
JOHN L I believe it is fareinheight . . . please note that the computer stopped functioning after dive #6 . . . i didn't get a warranty plan so i opted for the Cobra 3 (Suunto) and have been very impressed with it . . .over 75 dives and not one issue.
This proved to me that you definately get what you pay for . . . hope that helps!
Shopper What does it mean deco stop to 60'? Does it mean that the last deco stop this computer will tell me to do is at 60'? Then how come resource pro is cheaper but also offers stopes to 40'? Does it mean that when it comes to decompression resource pro is more accurate than react pro?
LEROY F no it will also tell you to stop at 30 feet and a 3 min stop at 15 feet it all depends on your rate of surface and at want depth you are at i like the unit but wish it would log temp on the dive hope this helps
JAMES F I am sorry I cant answer your question. mine has me do saftey stops after 30 and does a count down for me. sorry Icant help you
DONALD H does both stops depending on your dive depth. calculates which one to use based on depth.
OSCAR Z The manual for the React Pro is available on the Genesis website under resources. From their manual: "The ReACT Pro cannot accurately calculate decompression times for Stop Depths much greater than 60 ft. (18m) and offers no indication of how much time spent underwater would result in the need for a greater stop depth." In other words, if you need deco stops at depths greater than 60 ft., you probably don't need a recreational dive computer, and a cheaper computer is certainly not what you need.
Dan W what year did this model come out?
JEREMY G I have only had the computer for a year and mine allows me to set the PO2 level on mine. I generally set it at 1.5 You can can set it in intervals of .1 (ie. 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6)
ANTHONY B I think it came out in 2007 mine had a dead battery dont really care for it that much but it is easy to use
JOE B no idea. But, mine is about 3 years old, and will not allow you to set the PO2 level for Nitrox diving. It will accommodate Nitrox diving, but it uses a value of about 1.6 for determining times. The widely accepted maximums are 1.4. That is a dissapointment!
OSCAR Z Not sure exactly, but the compass and submersible pressure gauge have been in their line for a good while. The dive computer is a robust, simple, well-supported unit that has been around for at least 10 years in its air-only form, and maybe that long in air/nitrox form as well. As to the actual console that holds the gauges, I don't know. I am not affiliated with Genesis.
Dan W What year did this model come out?
JOHN L Don't know when it was first offered . . . . mine crapped out after the first couple of dives and i haven't used it since. Have moved onto the Cobra 3 by Suunto . . . . pricier but with so many more bells and whistles.
Hope that helps
KATHLEEN C I am not sure, but when I bought it in 2008 I think it was relatively new.
DOUGLAS C sorry i missed u r e-mail until now. i think i bought this computer console about 2 or 3 years ago. its very easy to use, however, the battery consumption was rate unacceptable. i purchased it brand new, but the first time i turned it on, the low battery warning sign already blinking. i replaced a new battery, then after only 10 on 12 dives, battery warning sign blinked again. I had no choice but to return it. hope this info help u make an intelligent decision
Kam K What is the warranty on this unit?
STEVE D I believe it is one year.
I've had one for myself and one for my wife and we have logged over 20 dives with no issues. Everything works as expected.
Shopper Does this give you an estimate time of how much time you have left in your tank like the Mares Air Puck does?
KENNETH A No, I as far as I know the Genesis React Pro does not estimate your dive time. If it did I would not bet my life on it. I use it with a dive watch on my wrist and dive tables. Plan your dive. Dive your plan. At different activity levels you will use more or less air or mixed gasses. No computer can tell you what might happen next as far as I know. Out of air at 100' is no fun. I found out the hard way spearfishing in Florida last year. Watch your pressure gauge, with or without a dive computer of any kind.
KATHLEEN C It does not. My air supply is never a factor as far as bottom time is concerned, so that is not something I look for in my computer.
JEREMY G No, this does not give you an estimate of your air. This computer is not air integrated. I would think you would need that feature to get an accurate estimate of air usage. (I looked at the Puck before I got this one and I don't remember it being air integrated either)
MICHAEL W Yes. I have had mine for 3 years and the only trouble I've had is not turning it off and running down the battery.
TODD C It does not. I have 3 of these units and they have served me well for many dives. It's a good "middle of the road" Nitrox computer. I think it's preset at 1.5 and can't be changed. If it has a draw back (for some divers) this may be it. For me, it fits my profiles and diving purposes perfectly. Hope this helps.
Nils J what is the difference between this computer console and one with an identical picture priced at 289.00 which isn't on sale?
Bill P I was wrong in my earlier post. They both do Nitrox Now, however the React Pro is also downloadable to a PC and has an audible alarm while the Resource pro does not have these 2 option
Nils J under the description/features for the "Resource Pro" it says it has does Air/Nitrox or Gauge operating mode, and customers said it does do nitrox...
Shopper What algorithm does this computer follow?
LeisurePro S The React Pro uses a modified Haldanean algorithm.

The computer also will display O2 saturation both on the dive and on the surface along with FO2 display the same. In the computer surface mode you get surface interval time from first activation, current temperature, number of dives in the current series and the time and day.
Computer has both visual and audible alarms. The audiles can be disabled if you like to dive silent, or if you are one who gets excited when diving and need an audible reminder when critical dive information is important to know you have the option.
