Performed well first time we used them. I have a mustache and seal was much better than I expected. Very minimal leak. Easy to purge with valve.

The Genesis Panview Mask with Purge in general is a very good fit mask. It is a quad-lens design with two main front lenses and individual side lens on either side.

Heres the summary: its a great fit - silicon rubber trims are comfortable and soft enough to seal but tough enough to hold their shape well. I've used other masks that tend to leak over my upper lip but this mask doesn't do that. Straps are easily adjusted per any other mask - tug 'em and enjoy. The lenses are clear and of good quality optics. That said, they aren't big as for example, that of the BigEyes series. Consequently, they're also not as low-volumed or as close fitting to the face as you'd like in these newer masks.

Vision out of these lenses are good, as long as you utilise a good anti-fog. Spit/Saliva only goes so far before it condenses all the same. The purge installed in the nose section works a charm and I feel I'm getting spoilt on it as much as I think its such a great thing to have. It makes for a handless purge if and when you do get leaks which is rare as the seal the mask provides is faultless.

The usage of four lenses rather than one singular or two main lenses with other models brings about both pros and cons of another type: because theres two extra lenses on the side of the mask, it isn't as close to the face and therefore low-volumed. This also means periphery below your chin isn't that great. Periphery vision in the sides though, are a bit strange at first use as they are not continuous from the front lenses, but are of almost a lateral position to your shoulders. This ultimately means that some visuals you 'see' in your periphery are not exactly where you think they are and takes a bit of getting used to.

All that said, I love my Panview and wouldn't be without one. I have a BigEyes by Cressi as spare and I would say those ones are a tad more comfortable in the seals, and provide excellent visuals through the low-volumed front lenses even below the chin. But no one has made one with a purge in those models yet, and with a camera in my hands almost all the time, handless purging is a comfort and assurance I find indispensible.
