If you are looking to upgrade your gauges, this is probably one of the better options available. The unit is rugged and lightweight and has stood up very well for me. If you want to add a compass you can easily pop out a hard plastic cover on the back and inset your favorite compass. The Sherwood '06 is a perfect fit. I think my favorite option is changing out the depth gauge for a simple puck style dive computer. In my case, it was an Aeris XR-1 that I installed. The simple reason I find this option excellent (as opposed to purchasing a console that already has a computer) is that the setup allows me to have my pressure gauge and dive computer located on the front of the console. This is substantially better for me than flipping the console over to see how much air I have remaining. I realize that some dive computers can replace the pressure gauge but those setups will come at a much higher price. Frankly, I like the thought of being able to pop my analog depth gauge back in and continue diving if my little XR-1 puck decides to quit while at sea. Those who rely on an integrated console won't be diving until repairs are made! All in all, this is a great value that has just enough options to make it a long term addition to your setup.

I am sure this product is fine. However, I do not know where in the world other than the USA they use imperial gauges.I had to purchase metric ones. I wrongly assumed that all gauges would be metric or both metric and imperial. As for the quality, I have never used them and not likely to ever use them so I am unable to comment on them. This purchase taught me an important and expensive lesson.

Comments about Genesis Metric/Bar 2 Gauge Compact Console:
This console does the job. It's nice and compact. i don't know how accurate the depth gauge is as I really only look at my computer. Nice additional features are thermometer and needle to record max depth.

This product is ideal for personal use, it's not suitable for a dive center where it lasted only 2 seasons of diving before leaking. However for personal use this is just great.

About Me Professional
This is a very good guage in a world filled with high-tech things. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. No more, no less. Easy to read and very lightweight. If you want a compass...buy one. Simple as that.
