Shopper does this hood keep most water out ?
DANIEL M Yes it does. It fits very well and is quite comfortable. I wear it in water temps down to 60 degrees and it keeps my bald head warm.
DAVE O yes, this is the best hood I have ever used!
MANUEL R All wetsuits allow some water in but it's not a continuous flow of water so once your body warms the little water that goes in then you stay relatively warm. This 3mm is good for cool water down to about 60 deg water. If you dive in colder water you may consider a 5mm or thicker hood. Personally I like this one better since thinner means more flexible and I don't mind a little cold.
THOMAS J The one I purchased fits me so perfectly that most water stays out. The small amount that gets inside is warmed quickly by that Merino lining. I like it very much and I would recommend this hood to anyone. I have been diving for over 27 years and I know a good product when I see when one.

H F A It keeps some out, but you definitely come back up with wet hair. I don't really notice it so I'm not the best one to answer.

ANDREW L The hood is not designed to be a 'dry' hood, so water does infiltrate as it's supposed to. That being said, it is snug enough that there is a constant flow of cold water cycling around your head. It does keep one warmer.
STEVE M It was my first time using a hood and the first time I didn't feel water in my ear canal after diving. So I would say it does help but I still use drops after the end of the diving day - just in case.
KURT A I haven't been able to keep the water out with this hood. I've stopped using it and gone to a cap style.
ABHISHEK A I've purchased a 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm hood from Pinnacle and have found them to be quite effective at keeping me warm and reducing the amount of water that can go underneath. The only thing I have noticed with my 7mm (which I wear more often) is that the water doesn't escape easily enough through the top vent holes; it's an easy fix with a hot nail (melt through the neoprene).
ROMAN S if fit well, ..........yes, but more important is, that keep head warm above 65-70F and does't trap the air on top
DAN H The hood fits tight, but is part of a wetsuit and designed for water to get in and stay in. It does that job well.
The hood is pretty warm. For the price, you can't beat it.
GEORGE S The hood acts just as a wet suit by preventing water flow while retaining a water film that keeps the head warm. I use the hood in 55-65 degree water in depths of 90-130 feet with a 7mm wet suit and find the hood warm, comfortable, and easy to put-on. I have used the hood over fifty times and it has shown no wear. The quality is great for the low price.
GREGORY M good hood. worked well for me on about 50 dives in Hawaii and Mexico this year.
HEATHER B Out? No, it is not a dry hood. But it keeps you warm and keeps your hair out of your mask. But you will be wet.
