Questions about this item:
Brandi W I am a true size 6, medium width, in women's shoes. What size would I need to order in these dive boots?
My husband wears a men's 8 1/2. What size should we order for him?
SHAUNA L I think their sizes are men's sizes. I wear a womans size 9 shoe and I got these in a size 8 and they fit great! I love these boots, they are the bomb when it comes to shore diving. The sole are fantastic to climb over rocks with, you will not be disappointed.
I would probably get yourself a size 5 and your husband a size 9. Hope this helps.
Shauna
PATRICK S I have found that these boots run a half size too big. Order a half size smaller and they should be fine. The width runs true. These boots have thick soles so are good for walking (shore dives) but may fit tightly with your fins. LeisurePro is great about returns and should be able to help if the fit is not correct.
Laird B Does anyone wear these with a foot pocket fin instead of an open heel strapped one? I'm not sure if they'll work because of the heel.
WALTER M Hi,
I would really doubt it because the boot is pretty thick. They fit very snug with my open heel Aeris velocity fins. They are great boots, but I think open heel fins would be the way to go with these.
Hope this helps,
JOANNE W Nope, soles are way too thick and square. You will have to use those thin soled, rounded boots or neoprene sox or lycra sox with full foot fins
MATTHEW B I use it with the strap and open heal.
Bob M No, they won't fit on a pocket fin. They are very thick and not flexible enough to fit into the pocket. But they work great on on open heel.
GEORGE O I tried once, but the white trim around the bottom of the boot was too rigid.
JOE M The Mares Boot is best worn with an open heel fin. These 5mm boots were a great buy for me and true to size. I wear them with the open heel Tusa Fins... Happy Diving..
Melissa W Female (regular shoe size 9)
What size boot should I get?
MATTHEW B Go at least 1 size less then your regular shoes.
They were very helpful on the phone. You may try calling them directly.
Good luck!!
BRIAN H My girlfriend and I both purchased Mares Trilastic 5 mm Dive Boots in October and dove with them in Bonaire in November. We love them. My girlfriend's shoe size is 7-1/2 to 8 and she purchased a size 6. She said they fit her perfectly. For a women's size 9, I think I would go with a 7. You don't want them too tight, and a little loose won't hurt. Make sure your fins are open heel and will accomodate the boots. Have fun!
STEVE A I ordered my correct shoe size and they fit well but I wear neoprene socks with the boots as well
JAMES R I wear a size 12 in mens and the size 12 boot was perfect. I do not know if you are talking about men or women's sizes but if they sell them in both get the same size.
They are great as they have a great tread on the bottom for the boat deck. Happy diving!!!!!
NEIL S I recommend size 8. My wife and I both purchsed these one size smaller and they're fine.
Shopper I am European size 41, and my wife is European size 37, what sizes should we order? Thank you!
CHRISTINE S I am a German size 40 (women's) and bought the boots in size 7. They fit perfectly.
MAYSHAN G Hello,
I wear an European size 42 and got the boots in a size 9 and they fit great for dive boots.
My wife is a European size 36.5 and got the boots in a size 5 and loves them. Hope this helps.
Shopper I'm shoe size 10 but after reading all comments about this boot being too big will it be good to get the number 9? Also will they fit on my fins Mares Avanti Quattro size regular? the sole seems to be too thick and i want to make sure they will fit inside my fins.
ZACHARY Z I'm a 10.5, so I ordered an 11 and they are a little big. A 10 would have fit way better. I ended up getting some neo socks and that did the trick. I actually perfer wearing them with the socks now. If you're on a boat, you can dive with just the socks, as I find it to be a little more comforntable. With shore dives however, the boots are a must. I used them a lot in the Caribbean (lived on St. Kitts two years) and they have held-up quite well. Still being used with no problems. Take care of them! Soak in a bucket of fresh water after every use so that the zipper doesn't salt-up. Allow to fully dry. They can get a bit smelly if you put them up damp.
I have Avanti Quattro, size large, fins and they are a tight fit. It takes some effort to get them on and off.
Hope this helps everyone!
COLETTE W I have worn this boot for over a year. I purchased it about a half size smaller than my shoe size. (I wear a 5 1/2 shoe, bought a size 5 boot). I have had no trouble getting them into my fins- fins which I also wear with other boots that have a smaller sole. I really like the boots, as they are comfortable to walk in, getting to and from the dive sites over rough terrain.
STEVE A i wear a 12 and got a 12 and they are fine for me. I also wear neoprene socks to prevent blisters just out of habit and they are not too loose or too tight.
Steve
PATRICK S These boots do run a bit large. I am a shoe size 101/2 and I ordered a size 10 in the boot. They fit but if they had come in a 91/2 I would have ordered those. If you are a shoe size 10 then I would suggest the 9 boot. However, you will have problems with the thicker soles on this boot. I also have Avanti Quattro regulars ( and Raptor split fin regular ) and while my foot will go into/out of the fin, it is only with a great deal of struggle. While I believe Mares makes great products, I just think they got the sole a little thick on this particular boot. If getting your fins on/off quickly (boat dives) is important to you I would go with a thinner soled boot. Hope this helps !
JOANNE W You failed to mention if you are male or female, but I am female with size 8 1/2-9 shoes and I wear a size 7 boot, which is the same size of men's shoes that I wear. The sole is very thick and I bought them to wear with size large fins because I like the larger blade sizes.
I use size large Atomic split fins.
Anyway, the boot does have a big thick sole and are very comfy. I tried them in my old size regular Quatros just now and they DO fit, but just barely. Anything bigger than a size 7 would be too big for the regular Quatros I'm afraid.
Shopper I wear a mens 9, what size should I order?
LeisurePro S I would recommend the size 9.
Shopper I wear a women's 5 1/2, what size should i order?
LeisurePro S I would recommend a size four.
Shopper I wear a women's 7 1/2-8 normally. Should I get the 6 or 7?
LeisurePro S I would recommend the 6.
Shopper I wear a Men's size 10-10 1/2 size shoe, what size boot should i order?
LeisurePro S I would recommend a 10.
Shopper I wear a womens size 9-9 1/2. What size should I order and what size fins would I need? (Fins would be the Mares Superchannel open heel).
LeisurePro S I would get a size 8 in the boots and a small for the fins.
Shopper I am a European size 36, what size boot should I order?
LeisurePro S Size 6 if a woman, size 4 if a man.
Shopper i am a womens size 8-81/2 what size should i order
