The Waterproof Nylon II 5 mm neoprene gender specific design women's suit is packed with many unique features. The W1 has a 3-D anatomical front zipper design with revolutionary Hex Tex Core Insulation Protection and Neck Water Dam. All seams are glued and double thread sewn for waterproof seams. The front Zipper is an YKK #10, and for easy donning and doffing, the arms and legs are also equipped with zippers. Zippers tend to leak, so Waterproof has placed Glide Skin Seals behind the arm and leg zippers eliminating the entry of water from the zippers, thus keeping you warm throughout your dive. In addition the main suit front zipper uses open and closed cell neoprene on opposite sides of the zipper for the ultimate dry seal.
Many divers find water entering their suit through the neck area especially when the turn their head while diving. This also has been addressed by Waterproof with a Water Dam, a uniquely designed high neck seal that prevents water flow into the suit during neck movement. The W1 has 3-D molded vulcanized rubber knee pads; this unique design enables unrestricted leg movement via the hinge effect". Warmth is further increased with an 11 mm spine pad with additional protection to the kidneys. Arms and legs are pre-bent for superior anatomical fit and the Wave Flex panels in the hollows of the arms and legs give additional flexibility.
Have you ever found your wrist mount computer sliding down your arm at depth due to suit compression? Waterproof has incorporated a computer strap anchor on the arm of the suit to prevent the instrument from slipping. The seat grips with a polyurethane embossing that provides a non-slip grip and adds abrasion protection. Elbows are also protected from abrasions with embossed Toughtex material.
