High power and advanced performance in a compact underwater strobe. Epoque ES-230 DS Auto strobe will meet the challenges of more advanced underwater photographers with more demanding objectives, capturing all the magnificent colors that exist underwater. The ES-230 DS Auto strobe provides more power for easy illumination of subjects that are farther away, and a 110 degree angle of coverage for better wide angle exposures. Epoque strobes can operate through the use of normal sync cords, or with a fiber optic cord, connected to the camera, and are compatible with ALL underwater camera and housing systems, from simple point and shoot to professional models.
The Epoque ES-230 DS Strobe is a compact unit 4" x 4.1" x 5.1" (100mm x 104mm x 128mm) that has user adjustable power settings of GN 3-GN 21 (Guide Numbers). Strobe operates on two AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries and will give you up to 200 flashes on one set of Ni-MH batteries with a recycle time of between 1.5 to 6 seconds.
The strobe can operate as a master or slave strobe for your lighting needs. The total angle of coverage is 85° x 100°, depth rated to 150' (45 meters) and weights only 14.7 oz (470g) on land and a mere -3.2 oz (-110g) underwater (not including batteries). Strobe has an On (manual) /Pre-Flash: Auto Low/Pre-Flash Auto High/Off functions. Strobe comes equipped with a diffuser, arm fixing bolt, spare O-ring set and O-Ring Grease.
