Shopper Is this an open or closed muzzle?
JACOB R This is a closed muzzle. There are aftermarket open muzzles you can buy and replace with or it is a fairly easy modification to open it up -- just cut with a dremel. Lots of people have done that. However, I love this gun as is and preferred to leave it closed. You can get a thicker shaft for it- 7mm with mini shark fin tabs instead of the notches, and they fit under the closed muzzle but also allow more strength in the shaft. Notched shafts create a weak point and tend to bend there eventually. Also, it's easy to change the bands out for some thicker ones. I put 20mm bands on it. Love this gun. Hope some of this helps.
MILBURN L this is a closed muzzle. this speargn shoots great, but it has alot of features I don't care for. It has a euro band with a metal wishbone. The wishbone is dangerous to hands if you slip while loading and it is a BEAR to load. I like the 6mm shaft, it sails thru fish and nice flopper. Loading pad is small. I actually opened the muzzle and put circular bands on the gun. I would put my money on a JBL elite gun. Has the sharkfin tabs and is a nice gun.
FRANK G great power, light weight, extremely hard to load.there is no extension to help you load it.the band is a high tension band and you have to be extremely strong to pull it back.
DAVID R Closed. If your looking for an open one I would go with the mako spearguns.
