Questions about this item:
bdm b Could you please to specify package size?
BRIAN F please reword your question.....are you interested in the true sizing of this BCF?
bdm b I'm interested in size of shipping package. It's necessary to calculate my shipping expenses.
BRIAN F the bcd is compact....the package was not much larger than the bcd...
lay you current bcd flat on a table and measure it to get a rough estimate.
my brother in law has the same bcd...loves it also B
Shopper Am I too small to fit in the XL?
5'10 190lbs 43 chest?
I want to buy the used bc
ANNE L I think that would be fine...you could do like I did...I tried one on at a local dive shop then bought it from Leisure Pro.
DAVE S I would say, yes. I'm 6'2" , 210 and comfortably wear a large.
STEVEN B I am 5'9" 180 lbs and a 40" chest and I wear a medium BC. A LG might be a better fit, try it on alls I can say
VICTOR T Hi A shopper,
I'm 5'8" 190lbs, and 44" chest. According to the sizing chart, I got an M, which ended up being a tad small for me. Of course, I didn't take into consideration the gear I would put on, such as a 7mm wetsuit, but I ended up keeping it anyway as it worked, for the most part, and I didn't want to go through the troubles of exchanging it online. The only troubles I've had is that the side pocket was hard to reach and zip/unzip. If you were to attach a knife to the side, it might be hard to reach also.
In my opinion, I'd say they run a bit small, but XL might be a tad on the large end for you.
HAYDN F I am a little taller about the same weight and purchased a M/L a few years ago. I sinch down most of the straps so I think an XL would be too big.
ROBERT H Sounds like you should probably consider a size large. It is adjustable, of course, but like all critical 'life support' gear a BCD is one of those things that a person is better off to buy new. While certainly it will cost more, it's hard to put a price on safe assurances and peace of mind.
Dave P What size do you recommend for 5' 9" / 46" chest / 38" waist / 220lbs.?
GARY B I am 6ft 2,/ 48" chest/ 38" waist/ 250 lbs----XL fits great
LARRY D I would get a Xl. I have a large and I am 5'10" 180, 30-31 waist. You could get a large , but the XL will have a little more lift.
LAWRENCE P I returned that BCD and bought a Oceanic Excursion. XL
WALTER R I'm 5' 10" / 41" chest / 36" waist / 180 lbs & use the 'Sea Quest Balance'
size M/L. With your larger torso dimensions the M/L could be toooo snug!
Try something larger!!
I've logged 193 dives (shore & live-aboards) throughout the Caribbean Islands, Roatan & Fiji without a BCD problem. It's well designed for functionality. I'm very satisfied with my Sea Quest Balance - It's my 2nd one! I gave the 1st one away after 690 dives & it's still being used by a young man in the military.
ROBERT H I would go with an XL. I'm slightly larger than the person you identified (48" chest and 40" waist at about 235 lbs) and the XL is a nice fit. The unit's straps can be very easily adjusted, though if you purchase one that's too small you won't be able to adjust looser (as you can easily adjust for a tighter fit). This is a good BC, been diving with it for about four years (Barbados, Roatan, Bonaire, and Lake Superior). The rugged bladder in the back helps to keep a nice even posture underwater.
Shopper How much weight can the small BC hold?
LeisurePro S The small BCD has a weight capacity of 20 pounds.
Shopper I'm 5'7", 174lbs, shoulders 23". What size should I order?
LeisurePro S I would recommend a medium/large.
Shopper How many pounds of lift does it have?
LeisurePro S Pounds of lift: Small = 30, Medium = 36, Medium/Large = 36, Large = 40, XLarge = 50
Shopper I am a tall but skinny -6'4''. What size do you recommend ? Medium large or large ?
LeisurePro S If you fit into the weight range for the medium large, I would recommend that-- nothing is worse than a BCD that is too big and bunches up around your shoulders.
Shopper Can I include the airsource as the octopus when building a custom package?
LeisurePro S If you call our sales dapartment at 888-805-3600, they can help you set up the custom package.
Shopper What material is this BCD made of?
LeisurePro S This BCD is constructed from 420-denier nylon.
Shopper How much does it weigh? (size medium)
LeisurePro S A total shipping weight of 5.00 Lbs
Shopper Does the Seaquest Balance BCD with SureLock weight system come with a knife attached? I saw one in a dive store and it had a knife attached on the left hip pocket. If yours does not, can it be attached?
LeisurePro S No it does not come with a knife, but sku SQTKSL can be easily attached. This is a very nice knife setup.
