Questions about this item:
Mike Y Hi, I'm looking to purchase the Stiletto LTD and was wondering if anyone could give some advice on sizing. I'm 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, and 32-33 inch waist? Thanks in advance for your time.
WILLIAM B Hi Mike, I am 6'1" 210 pounds and a pretty athletic build with a 34" waist and the Large Stilletto LTD fits me perfect. The waist "cumberbund" is right on the farthest in adjustment and it overlaps perfect for me. I thought I needed the extra size for my upper body. I didn't realize how liberating the back inflate BCD was though. It is like wearing a backpack Great mobility! I probably could wear the next size smaller without any problem as well. I hope this helps.
Mike Y Thanks William. Good info for comparison. I've heard great things about back inflate, can't wait to make the switch. I will be ordering this week, just in time for spring diving. Thanks for the response.
SAMUEL F I am 6'0" and about 185lbs, with a 33" waist I where large in the three BCDs I've had so far and I'm about the middle of the adjustment capabilities. I've owned a Sherwood, Achieve, vest style; Oceanic, Chute III back inflate harness style; and now OMS, Comfort harness II with SS back plate, total tech rig.
Shopper I am torn between this BCD and the Ranger LTD. I like that the Ranger LTD has room for me to grow but the Stiletto is a smaller travel BCD. Also, the Ranger LTD is set up for side mount tanks as well. I would like to try that. Is the Ranger LTD too much for a first BCD?
JACOB S I bought stiletto fo spear fishing. Great range of motion. Ranger is larger and did not fit my needs. Consider what you intend to do under water. Both great bcs
CASEY C It really depends on your type of diving. I would only recommend the Ranger if you plan to do technical diving... e.g., cave diving, wreck penetration diving, cold water diving, etc. If you aren't serious about technical diving, then the Ranger is too much. I'm a divemaster, and I dive a variety of warm(er) water sites. The Stiletto offers everything I need and then some, personally and for teaching. And, it's much more streamlined, light and comfortable BCD than the Ranger... a benefit for travel, yes, but even more so while diving! Hope this helps...
SHANE A I would love to be able to give you a good answer to your question, unfortunately, I only have experience with the Zeagle Stiletto. I live in Chicago and almost all of my diving accompanies travel. I was certified in April of 2012 and since have traveled with my Stiletto BCD to Grand Cayman, Phuket, Mexico, and Bonaire. I love the compact nature of the BCD and have had zero problems with it. It's been a great purchase all around. Unfortunately I just don't have experience with the Ranger LTD and therefore can't give you a comparable analysis between the two.
ROBERT B If you're absolutely going to be doing multiple tank dives in the near future, get the Ranger. If it's just a dream you plan on for the future, get the Stiletto. The Stiletto has everything you will need now and is easier to travel with. The Ranger can be overkill if you aren't using double tanks.
If you do make the jump to multiple tanks, you can always sell your Stiletto to offset the costs of a new Ranger.
MIKE W My dive buddy has the Ranger but the Stileto is all I will ever need since I am going to upgrade my tanks to steel 120s. I had an old basic vest type Sea Quest BC before so the Stiletto was a major upgrade. Unless you plan on doing a lot of techincal diving where you may need side tanks I think you will be very happy with the Stiletto.
NIGEL D This is the same question I had initially. I was looking at purchasing my first BCD. I was torn between the two models. I ended up buying the Ranger LTD as I always think I need all the extras. After a year I realized I have done 80+ dives on the Ranger and realize I wish I had the Stilletto. I never used the extra lift capacity and probably never will and if I wanted to dive side mount then I would probably go for a more tech BC. The main problem with the Ranger LTD is the travelling. However that said I do manage to fit my Ranger, fins, wetsuit, masks, fliashlights and some extras and keep at exactly 50 lbs. But no room for much else. To summarize, the Ranger LTD is not really too much for a first BCD but think hard if you are really gonna use the extras. If not buy the Stilletto if you plan on using it more for travelling, otherwise the Ranger if you just gonna dive locally.
JOHN R Hi, think even the Stilletto is a lot if BC, especially if this is your first BC. I've been diving 15 years and purchased the Stilletto as my main BC a year ago. It's heavy duty and I appreciate diving with less as opposed to more, I recommend it over the Ranger ESPECIALLY if its your first and it'll work for your needs for the rest of your life should you choose.
Shopper Other then the price difference of $140.00ish what are the differences between the Stiletto and the Stiletto LTD?
Donald H Hello,
If you are like me you want to get the best accessory options with your equipment and some room to grow. The LTD has 2 standard add ons I find useful (1) the 20-lb capacity rear mount weight system, I moved them to the upper tank band to adjust my trim.( swim position) I use 14lbs total with a 3mm O'neil Sector wetsuit 10lbs in the ripcord system & 4lbs in those tank pockets.{I see they have some new small shoulder strap trim pockets, I'm planning on breaking that weight up to bring that weight higher on my bc to continue fine tuning my trim}.(2) The Zip Mount Adaptor you can attach numerous other accessories to the BC.It keeps your safety equipment tucked away and your profile streamline but easy to deploy in the event there is an emergency. It also has a better harness setup than the original Stiletto you can add addition D-rings to shoulders or trim pockets if needed.Well by the time you add these two standard features you might as well get the LTD model.
This is my third BC I would recommend it to a beginner as their first one as well as to an advance recreation diver thinking about replacing an old one.

RICHARD H I know that one of the differences is that the LTD includes the 2 mesh weight pouches that you normally would have to buy separately (and I recommend). There are other differences which I believe include additional dump valve(s), but if you go to the Zeagle website you can see a listing of all the differences.
KEVIN H. K
I bought the ltd for several reasons: It included the mesh weight bags . It also has a narrower waist strap for comfort with a roll out mesh bag built in. Nice feature for collecting shrimp and stuff. My favorite feature is it has 4 dump valves. This feature is great because i hold my speargun with my right hand and it allows me to use my left to dump air. The regular one has only 2 on the right side. It also has two more shoulder strap adjustability points and the shoulders have a articulating feature for more mobility and comfort.. These features aren't available on the regular stiletto. If you don't need These features then it will cost you $46 extra to buy the 2 mesh weight pouches that aren't included with the regular one. You won't be disappointed in the ltd!
KEVIN B The Stilleto LTD has two dump valves at the top where the origional only has one.
JOHN R I think the difference, from what I can tell is the LTD has metal rings, swivel shoulder buckles and a little more padding between you and the tank. Also comes with the yellow weight 'baggies' which I find to be worthless, but I am very happy overall with the BCD.

I'm an owner of the LTD, and the above LTD features are present. I don't have the standard Stiletto to compare these additional LTD features against. I've been very pleased with the Stiletto LTD. It's been a great BCD.

Whats in the box:BCD, Bx Inflator, Ripcord Weight System, and LP Inflator Hose The new Stiletto LTD incorporates some of the best features of our Ranger LTD and makes Zeagle's premier recreational-travel BC even better. The Stiletto LTD keeps its' 24lb Ripcord weight system and includes a pair of 12lb capacity mesh pouches to make loading and unloading the weight pockets simple. New for this year is the addition of an additional right hand dump valve on its 35lb lift bladder assembly bringing the number of air dump points to four (two on the shoulder, two at the bottom of the bladder). To allow the Stiletto LTD to accept zip-on accessories like the Ranger LTD we have installed our Zip Mount Adaptor on the BC so you can easily customize your LTD however you like. For even more customization we used the same harness type webbing and threading arrangement so the diver can easily add more D-rings and other accessories conveniently on the shoulder. With this durable design you also get Zeagle's time proven durable and rugged BxPower Inflator System. Now you can really rinse out the bladder of your BC. Simply unscrew the Bx Coupler, screw on a standard garden hose, turn the water on and super rinse and clean the inner bladder. Attachment of accessories is made easy with the five stainless steel D-Rings Three on the vest and two more on the shoulders. Durability comfort and fit are three of the Stiletto's strong points. Manufactured from strong reinforced 1000 Denier Nylon, Personal Fit System (PFS) Sizing, Sewn on Lumbar Pad, Adjustable Sternum Strap, and Waist Panels, ensure long life and comfortable diving.
