Keep in mind there are two different connector sizes that Leisure Pro doesn't seem to want to list in their specifications. This item was a Tusa, like my BCD, but had a larger size connector. Very strange.

But, it came with a new hose, so that wasn't a big deal except that I wasn't able to use a new soundmaker that used the smaller connector.

Other than that problem it worked fine. My inflator hose is quite long, so it was pretty easy to breath off the device. But, it did try to twist in my mouth, so I would only want to use it in an emergency.

The normal inflation and deflation operations worked just fine.

The IR-3 breathes very easy for an alternate. Eliminating another hose is always good. Also, save yourself some cash...it's almost identical to the more expensive Air-2.

This alternate air/octopus can't beat beat for price and performance. I've used it on my TUSA Platina BC and it works perfectly, it breathes easy, there are no freeflow problems, convenient location on BC, very easy installation, including shortened quick detach LP hose, so that doesn't stick up past your shoulder. I couldn't be happier, especially since it is less than half the price of other manufacturer's models.

I really like the concept and having one less hose to deal with. It takes a little time to get used to the button configuration but well worth the effort.
