Used it while scalloping and from time to time the valve on the top will close and prevent you from inhaling air, would look for different design. Also feels top heavy.

Snorkel keeper allows for too much movement, causing the top heavy design to fall into the water. Had to fix with ziplock ties. On second trip the float on the dry snorkel jammed, then the flex connection seal began to leak. Was bought for a someone new to snorkeling and caused lots of problems. Had to return, buying a different snorkel.

I've snorkeled actively now for several years, Maui, Big Island, Kauai, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, both in the ocean and pools and have owned at least 5 different snorkels. This is the best of those I've tried for the following reasons.
1. Easy to breath through - large barrel, large opening in the dry valve. If you stay in the water for hours, which I do, or swim far, you really appreciate it. Best in this quality.
2. Driest of any I've tried. The large ball float closes the valve tight from any direction. I get the least water through this one and usually no water. Only by swimming underwater on my back do I flood it or laying it flat on the surface.
3. Mouthpiece easy to keep in, again best I've tried. Others seem to want to work out of my mouth, especially if free style swimming with the snorkel. Works with a small mouth and braces as well (105 lb daughter).
4. Easy to purge. If you do get water in, it drains quickly or purges easily. Other snorkels always seem to leave some water or require a harder push and a special head orientation to really clear them.
5. Low drag while swimming. I like to swim for exercise with a snorkel. Guess I'm lazy. But this one definitely is lower drag that most of the other snorkels I own. This is another reason why I also like the low breathing resistance mentioned above.

I have had the snorkel cut off in rougher water as one reviewer mentioned but I have to assume that's better than flooding. A longer tube is not a bad idea. Its the best I've tried, very satisfied, really like it. I've just purchased two more of them for others to use.

The snorkel is great, no jaw strain, easy to purge. Get yellow it's easy to see your partner.

Super comfortable mouthpiece! I use it in the south pacific ocean. Big waves and strong currents and this performs well. It isn't completely dry but very useable. It secures easily to your mask and is easy to purge. Always check the diaphragm before diving, it has folded up on me a couple of times (probably in transit) allowing the water to come straight in.
