Shopper how much weight is it and how long is it? thanks

SHAWN J Not sure of the exact weight...ounces I would say. As light as any other snorkel. I've never noticed the weight when I've used it.

BILL D The snorkel is 19 inches long overall and weighs slightly over 6 ounces.

ROBERT U Couldn't find my other snorkel to compare but its not really heavier than a normal snorkel and its roughly the same height. I used a tape measure and came to 19.5 inches but the bottom 1/3 is a flex tube that is really convenient to bend into your mouth or fold into your BC pocket. I never use a snorkel but bought this for a trip to Bonaire. Worked really well. Not completely dry but beats blowing out a tube of water.

Thomas G Can the mouthpiece be replaced with a custom molded mouthpiece (for folks not wearing their dentures)?

PATRICIA S Thomas, Im not sure. I looked at my snorkel closely and it looks like the mouthpiece is removable. It is a separate piece. I didn't want to pull it off b/c it is not held on by cable ties or anything and my luck I get it off and it wouldn't stay back on. Otherwise it is a great snorkel for the money. Hope this helps you. Steve F Does dry feature cause any problem if this is used with scuba diving ?

TODD F No problems at all. dove with it 20 plus times in Roatan earlier this summer. the dry feature is very nice especially in places like Cozumel when you may have to swim on the surface with choppy weather. sometimes those waves hit you when you are not looking and its good not to get a snorkel full of water then.

JASON F I have used on a few dives - have had no problems with the dry feature, did do a surface swim of @30 yards and was nice not to have water splashing in. Hope this helps.

STEPHANIE C No issues with using it in conjunction with scuba diving. It will get water in the tube while diving - you just need to blow the water out of the snorkel before using it like you would with a regular snorkel.

I have 3 snorkels and after considerable use of all 3, this is my favorite. I also have an Oceanic Ultra dry. The features that make the Cressi my favorite over the Oceanic are heavier bite wings and stronger mouthpiece. When free diving over 10', you can feel the mouthpiece of the Oceanic compress from the water pressure. The Cressi is stronger and I do not experience that problem with it. Neither comes up dry when free diving to 10' and beyond for any length of time. Both are completely dry for shallow dives. I don't use my older wet snorkel anymore, love the dry.

I bought this item to complete my scuba equipment.I like to have it so that I don`t waste air at the surface. However, this piece is really heavy and therefore you don`t want to have it attached to your mask.

I don't recommend this product. I would find something lighter.

I used this snorkel recently in rough water in cuba and it worked very well, easy to clear and easy on the mouth. Underwater and diving at high speed with Gara long fins it did flutter and bend, but by adjusting the keeper position this was not a big deal. Obviously this snorkel is not designed for serious free diving, but I was surprised how well it worked in shallow dives and on the surface. I was out on the reef for three hours a day for a week and had no mouth fatigue. Warning: be careful to keep this snorkel clean and free of sand. My partner was a little casual about this and the float did jam and lock with a single piece of sand. Keep it clean and clear and check the movement of the float when you rinse it out and it will work great. Excellent design and price.

It was awesome!! My first dry snorkel. I had my doubts, but it felt comfortable. The only con I had was that when it did let a little water in, I had to cover the purge valve and blast clear it. No problem really.

I was skeptical with the other review claiming it to be too top heavy, DONT BELIEVE THEM! It was fine!
