Questions about this item:
Karn J I need to order a gear bag to go with these fins. Can you tell me how long they are? (size regular) Thanks.
MIKE L size regular are about 27" long overall
MATTHEW C I dont have the measurements for the fins, but I can tell you that I also bought the aqualung mesh bag and these fins fit into it nicely with planty of room to add additional gear and dive suits.
ROBERT P Mine are x large and are 28 inches long.
PETER N These fins are 24" (61 cm) from heel to fin tip, and 8.25" (21 cm) wide.
PETER H I have a large size fin, it is about 2 inches longer than pair of split fins.
BROOKE B size regular fins are 26 1/2" long
Shopper I wear a size 9 mens show what size in thsi fin the small or the regular ? and can someone measure the lenght of the fin and an accurate weight eight lbs sounds like alot true weoght? Definetly interested in this fin. Also has anyone comparedthis fin to split as far as power genarated.?
Thanks Mike W
MICHAEL V I bought this fin 2 months ago and love them. I wear a size 8 mens and got the regular. Each fin weights just over 2 lbs so the combined weight is around 4.5 lbs. They are just over 2 feet long. I have never used the split fin but decided on this fin over the split fin because it in theory will generate more power than the split fin because it has more surface area. I wanted a fin that was easy to use in recreational dives but also gave me the thrust I need if I am in a area with strong currents. I just used them for the first time in a strong current situation and had no problems. They worked great.
ROBERT P I wear a 9.5, I bought a large x-large, but found that a regular would work fine. I dont think there 8 lbs more like 6. I like these fines they dont take much to kick and I have used split fins and I like these fins for swift water. these fins are 27 inches.
ROBERT M I bought a regular for a lady that is a size 10 womens. They fit her well but the fins could definately accomodate a larger foot without any problem. We have 5 sets of fins with one being the Tusa Xpert Zoom split fins. Side by side comparison...they rank about the same as far as power with me, but if I had to buy again, I would probably go with another AquaLung. On my scale, they weigh right at 5 pounds. These really are a great fin!
Shopper Hi, how much do these find weigh? Thanks.
Alexandre F Sorry, but I not used yet this fins. I will dive only next mounth.
SONYA L I'm sorry, but I'm not for sure how much they weigh. They seem to be the same weight of most any fins you might purchase. I actually purchased these for my husband and he loves them. I dive with the Aqua Lung Sling Shot, which are almost identical to the Express fin and are also great fins. If I had to purchase another set of fins for my self, this would be the fin. Thanks!
ADAM K I don't have a scale to measure them exactly, but I would say they are about 4 pounds each, 8 for the pair.
ROBERT P The Fins weigh 3 lb approx each. They are a very good all around fin size runs a little big. My booties are rock Boots in a size 11 I have an XL fin could have used a large fin.
Shopper This is a 3 part question. I wear a men's size 10 Deep See thin sole boot, what fin size would best fit me? Also, do the EZ Spring straps work with these fins? If so, what size spring straps would I need to order to fit the correct size fins?
Brett H With a size 10 deep see boot like the echo zip you will use a size reg in this fin. The ez spring strap like this: http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/GNSRG.html and you would probably find the size med fits the best.
Shopper Do the aftermarket spring straps work with these?
Ben T Yes they do! try the Blue Reef Stainless Steel Pro Fin Spring Strap - Pro Diver, or the EZ Spring Fin Strap - Recreational Diver.
Heather G Being shoe size 6.5 womens, using 5mm Scubapro boot, would Small size be more appropriate fit for me or should I get Regular?
Heather G thanks you guys... I'm going to order the small one. :-)
JORGE D Hi, I bought these fins for my daughter and she?s size 6.5 sometimes 7, she uses boots scubapro delta boots 5mm and for that boot (not very thick sole) the fins are perfect, if you have the same boots I think small is fine, regular would be too big , but if you have a thicker sole boot then regular might be your best option.
KHURRAM P I used the small size with a sock and it still had a bit of room. I wear a men's size 10.5. I think small will be perfect for you.
NIKKI E i am a shoe size 7.5 and have 5mm boots and I wear a small in these if that helps....
MIKE L the sizes seem to run big. a small would probably fit better than a regular
Shopper I wear a size 9 womens shoe. I am asking if a regular size of this fin with a 5mm oceanic venture boot would be the right size? Also, what is the blade length on this fin? Thanks!
Brett H With that size boot I would suggest the small in this fin. It is 24" long.
Shopper Hi. I am interested in getting these fins. My usual shoe size is a Women's 5. Would a Small be too big, even with 5mm boots on underneath? Thanks.
Brett H It would depend mostly on the boot that you have, if your boot has a thin sole the fin may be a bit big on you, if you have a boot with a thicker sole like this you should be just fine: http://www.leisurepro.com/Prod/MRSBTR.html .
Warranty Information
This product has a limited warranty of 24 months.
The Express fin is now available in an open-heel version. The Express ADJ fin represents the latest in technology and material innovation. Comfort, power and efficiency are the hallmarks of this propulsion machine. Strap a pair on and seefor yourself.
The Express fin works on the same principle as the popular Slingshot and Hotshotfins. The function of the Slingshot power bands has been converted into the Express Armadillo. This patented, elongated membrane is made from ultra-elastic rubber. Like power bands, it accumulates elastic energy during thedown stroke and returns it at the end of each kick cycle.
The Armadillo also bridges the gap between the front of the foot pocket and the back of the blade, which eliminates any water transfer through the fin.
- The blade connects halfway back on the foot pocket at the mid-foot flex joint. This eliminates hyper-extension of the toes and ankles.
- The foot pocket is not only comfortable, but provides different thickness zones which properly secure the foot to the blade for maximum energy transfer.
- Rubber side ribs channel the water down the length of the fin minimizing the spill-over effect.
- Features the ESBS (Ergonomic Strap and Buckle System). The protruding press to- release buttons can be operated easily even while wearing thick gloves.
- The strap, made of rubber with anti-aging compounds, has three convenient loops. This makes strap easy to tighten or pull up over the heel even with the thickest of gloves
- Over-sized, anti-slip rubber pads on the bottom of the fin
