Questions about this item:
Shopper Does the Pelican Case come with the pluck and pic foam insert for Analyzer protection?
CHIP D My unit me with foam already cut to fit and protect. The foam was not pluck and pic setup
DEBORAH B No. Never saw the need. I put a Sharpie and roll of yellow plastic tape and med bottle for cover in it. Takes up the space.
BILL H No the Pelican Case comes lined with foam and I'm not having any problems with it protecting the Analyzer.
MARISTELA M Yes it was perfect!
JIM O The one I bought last year did not come with foam.
ANDREW S No the case doesen't come with foam. You will not need it it is a perfect fit. I heep it in the platic bag and have traveled colse to 10 times with it in the last year and never had any problems with it.
BRANDON P Yes, the one I bought in April of 2012 has the foam insert, but I've never tried to remove it.
DAVID O To be honest with you I haven't had time to use it yet. Sorry.
OMAR B No it did not come with pluck and pick, more of a firm rubber liner that covers the bottom and sides of the case.
THOMAS D No, but the foam lining is thick enough to immobilize the analyzer in transit
APRIL K No it does not; the case we have is just the right size for the included analyzer (which is easy to use too).
SCOTT M I bought this last year and it did not come with any foam. It it a good fit without the foam. It will not move around.
Miyuki S No it does not. It does have a liner.
Pelican 1050 Pick N Pluck Foam Insert SKU: PL1052
Replacement Liner SKU: PL1051
KENDALL B Mine did not. It came with a three sided insert pad that allows the unit to roll around and offers no protection from the box cover. You'll have to fabricate something yourself for better protection.
ROGER D I can not remember if it pluck and pic foam, but I do know the foam is already sized for the unit, the plug and the orifice.
Shopper Does this product package include the sensor saver cap as pictured? The text doesn't mention it, at least what I read.
BILL H Yes the saver cap is included.
APRIL K Yes it does. BTW the analyzer works great.
JIM O Yes it has it. Great analyzer. Same one my local dive shop uses
DANIEL G This is the same question I asked. leisure Pro answered, "Yes". It did indeed come with this. Leisure Pro should not have a problem answering this question and I would advise you to get this answer from them.

THOMAS D yes, it includes the cap
ROBERT C Yes. The kit includes everything you'll need to test. Had mine for a while now and it is quick and easy to test whenever needed.
KENDALL B Yes, mine came with the white cap.
MICHAEL D The kit includes the saver cap which extends the sensor life significantly. The Analox O2EII is a very nice package.
ZEMING C Yes, It does include the oxygen sensor saver.
STEVEN S I found this in the description: "Whats in the box:Analox O2EII Nitrox Analyzer, Pelican Storage Case, Amoxtec Sensor Saver Cap, 23" Tank Nitrox Sticker"
STEVEN S Yes the sensor saver cap did come with the unit.
EDWARD H Yes, mine came with the sensor saver cap.
OMAR B Yes the cap saver is part of the package I received.
PAUL S Yes, the cap is included. One tip, when you test the EAN from the cylinder, you only need to turn the tank valve open a very small amount and face the analyzer to the leaking gas. No need to blast open the valve to test for level of O2.
CAROL C Yes. I didn't think it did when I bought mine, so now I have two.
Shopper How accurate is this sensor?
BILL H I have been very satisfied with sensor so far and ease of use.
ESTHER S Seems to be very accurate. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me at info {at} scubadiveadvisor {dot} com. Cheers!
APRIL K Very accurate. I have dived many times from Aggressor live aboards and they use the same analyzer.
LINCOLN G Hello from Cozumel. Just finished 3 days diving nitrox. Waiting for a flight home. The meter works well. Very easy to use on the boat.
The manual states accuracy two ways. It says plus/minus 0.2% of O2. So if you read 32.5%, the mix could be between 32.3 and 32.7. The other statement is plus/minus 1% of reading. My computer only takes whole numbers so I round the decimal up to the next whole number.
OMAR B The unit comes with a calibration chart for your particular location then you just set iit and adjust the offset. When you turn on unit make sure it takes ambient reading (20.9) then read your nitrox tank can't really tell you how accurate as a whole but my lds has same unit and we are generally within two tenths of each unit.
CARL S I think it is very accurate, IF you can get just the right flow. The problem is that it is very flow dependent in its accuracy. It probably uses the same Teledyne sensor that all others use, but without the air flow being restricted, this design is somewhat susceptible to inaccurate readings. The flow must be very slow, and the sensor must be 100% envoloped in the mix, without air entering the sensor, for the reading to be correct. That said, I found that I could usually get within +- 0.2%, when compared with a better designed OMS analyzer. Hope this helps. Finding a better design seems costly and difficult, don't know where they sell the good ones! P.S. You can usually use the resort's analyzer with no problem.
LISA H It is very accurate. I use it for rebreather. A lot of shops use the same one. You have to self calibrate with the turn dial before you analyze. It's simple to use
MICHAEL D I have compared it with two other analyzers and they all come in within 1/10 of a percentage point of each other, So i'm going to say it's as accurate as any other analyzer I have used.
SInce recreational Nirtox diving allows a 1/2 of 1% deviation when using tables or dive computers, that's close enough for me and probably for you.
TIM M I bought and have used one extensively in the last 12 mos. i found that the dive operators from Thailand, Florida, Malta, Hawaii, all use the same one and my readings are the same as theirs so I feel confident in this product.
GREGORY S I use it regularly and it has been right on with my mix. I work at a shop where I check the mix with two sensors at mix and then when customer takes tank with the Analox and it is the same.
THOMAS D Can not tell you about accurate, but it is repeatable. We used on a dive trip and all the tanks read the same. About 6 NITROX Divers used it and I assume the tanks came from the same bank so getting the same reading on all of them was a good sign.
TODD C It measures in .1 increments. They are accurate and the diving industry standard in analyzers. Every where that I have gone, the operators have these analyzers. Remember, that they don't have to be perfect, since you round of to the next whole percentage when entering the tables or inputting the percentage into your computer.
JIM O Not sure on accuracy, never compared it to another O2 analyzer. Bought it because it was the same analyzer used by the dive shop I got my Tec diver cert from. You calibrate to 21% room air prior to using.
Simple to use, great price with the Pelican case included. I trust it for Tec diving.
DOUG Y Very accurate and has served me well
Peter T What's the sensor shelf life? Planning on purchasing witha spare sensor but don't want to waste money if it'll die on the shelf.
ROGER D Be careful of how long you use the sensor. My sensor was useful for 5 years, but when it went bad, it had corroded my first Analox to the point of no repair. I would replace the sensor every three years or when you have to turn the calibration knob more than two thirds of the way to get ambient oxygen levels.
ANDREW B just dove with a group who all use this exact same analyzer regularly 25 times a year. their input is that the sensor will last about 2-1/2 years with regular use. a spare is only good if you keep it hermetically sealed until time to use it. only open sensor when ready to install and always use the cap with a good o-ring. no problems at all with my own analox.
MICHAEL S Not sure what the shelf life is on the 02 sensor is, I use mine as a back up in comparison to the dive shops. It's very obvious when blending mixes from a knowknown blend using an app which have always been accurate in my experience and then having an analyzer give you something way off the mark.. My 02EII came in very handy when the diveshops analyzer was going tango uniform. This is money well spent.
MOHAMMAD F This device is very good. The sensor is work for 3 years of normal use and storage can reach up to 5 years.
Jeff N HOW IS THIS MACHINE CALIBRATED? I WOULD BE USING THIS AT HOME TO VERIFY THE TANK. DIVE SHOP IS 1.5 HR DRIVE. WHERE MY WIFE WORKS . IS SHE IS ABLE TO P.U. TANK I WOULD LIKE TO VERIFY. OR ON SITE VERIFY, DIVE BOAT IN CASE TANKS ARE MIXED UP OR MOVED.
ROGER D Humidity will drastically affect the calibration. A trick that was shown to me was to calibrate using a regular filled scuba tank then using the Analox on the Nitrox tank. This will also give you the feel of how far to open the tank valve for testing.
KEVIN F You use ambient air to calibrate the sensor, by setting it to the appropriate oxygen setting given your local tempterature and relative humidty..
JAMES G H The calibration is very easy. Please see the following from the owner's manual. If you lose your manual you can download from the manufacturer's website.
3.2 Air Calibration
WARNING
The analyser is sensitive to Oxygen partial pressure. Calibration must always be carried out at the same atmospheric pressure as Oxygen measurement.
Air calibration is essential before every use and is performed as follows.
1. Ensure that the sensor saver is not in place and that the EII adapter is fitted. The adapter simply pushes into the sensor aperture.
2. Expose the analyser to clean air for two minutes and adjust the calibration knob until the display reads the correct value using the oxygen compensation chart (you can find this chart on the inside of the back cover). If this is not possible refer to the note below or to Sections 4.0, Quick Check and 5.0, After Sales Service.
WEBSTER R In a perfect world, you would use a tank of regular air and adjust until you hit 20.9%. In a less than perfect world (clean air with regular humidity - i.e. in your house with the AC on if possibl) you can adjust to 20.9%.
JOACHIM M The calibration is done using an attached chart to set the sensed oxygen level to ambient air. On a standard day, this is approximately 20.9%. The black rotary knob is used to set this value on the display, then the unit is ready to measure any tank content up to 100% O2. A very simple process.
SUSAN S You can calibrate the unit of off a regular scuba tank with air or you can use the chart that comes with the unit. You need to know the air temperature and the humidity for the chart to calibrate it that way. I always use a tank of air to calibrate it each time I use it.
DALELYNN S Not sure what you mean ?calibrated? but if you are talking zeroed at 21% (air) this is accomplished by waving it in ambient air and using the supplied chart (if hot and high RH) or using a scuba tank with air. Then simply sample the nitrox.
FRANK B I bought the Analog O2EII Analyzer in May and have verified it with my local dive shop a couple times. Basically I took my tanks to the shop, had them Nitrox filled, tested with the shop analyzer (same model) then tested with mine..each time the readings were consistent and within .1 of each other. I've done this two more times about 2 months apart and get the same results. Also checked it once at a destination site and had same results.
ROBERT G use the black knob to calibrate. Regular air is 20.9% oxygen, so calibrate it accordingly.
Shopper Will this work with DIN tank valves? Does it have an adapter?
Jeff N WHAT WOULD I USE AS A SOURCE TO CALIBRATE THE UNIT.
ROBERT C You would use a regular tank to calibrate the unit. Run a small stream of air, calibrate, then move to your Nitrox tank.
If a regular tank is not available, I've seen some swing the unit to calibrate to ambient air. Not sure if it is advised or how accurate that is however, but I would guess it'd be close.
LeisurePro S No adapter is needed for the sensor to work with either yoke or DIN tanks.
