Daniel K I'm 5'9"female at 156 lb I want to use the shirt under my wetsuit or instead it. Do I need the M or the S size?
DAVID R I would think the M would be a better fit. It is not an overly tight fit but is "snug". I don't think you will find it warm enough to be in place of a wetsuit but under it is great. Also works well for snorkeling in 75 degree water give or take depending on your own comfort levels. Dries fast and is nice as a surface interval garment.
PAUL H My experience as a 5'10" male at 165 lb was that the medium was too lose but the small just right. I started with the M but as it didn't fit to my satisfaction the great LP customer service returned it and sent the S at no cost to me. I'd suggest start with the S as you need the shirt to be snug.
MICHAEL B I would get the medium, they fit tight
JORDAN R Most all rash guards I own have been smaller than their designated size would imply -- EXCEPT this one.
I actually had to send my XXL back for a smaller size because it literally wore like an over-sized T-Shirt. Though it is a rash guard, it does appear designed/shaped/sized for more use than just underwater scuba/snorkeling.
So I'd favor the S over the M. IMHO.
It is a good looking rash guard, regardless.
CLINT D I am 6'2" 210 and I have the XL. It is tight. If you are lagre chested you will want the M as it is tight accross the chest.
KEN Z Hi,,
my wife says " i'd go m, they run true to size"
stay safe.......kz
JOHN U They run a bit big.
If you prefer a tighter fit, get a size smaller.
Great rash guard.
NEAL P I have worn the Nat Geo shirt while snorkeling and it worked fine, but it doesn't offer any isnulation so I woudln't wear it inplace of a wetsuit when diving
SARAH H Bought this as a gift for a woman about your size and bought a large.
JACK K I found the sizing to run small....where I normally wore a lg I needed xl fo the full wet suit....I would suggest the m ....but the good thing is they have a great exchange department at Leisure Pro.......
DARREN P We got the size large. My wife is about the same size as you and when she put it on it fit her very loose, like a night shirt. So, we would guess the medium would be about right. Unless you want it tighter to your body.
CARMEN S I am a 5'10" male at 180 lbs. I bought the L and it is not skin-tight like most rash guards I've had. This is great for ease of putting on/taking off. The M might be a little roomy on you but unless you like struggling, I don't think a S would be as comfortable. A little extra fabric might leave a crease or two on your skin under a wetsuit after a dive but, hey, who cares?
STEPHEN G For a good fit, I think that you would need a medium.
