KEN M The two metal spring-loaded clips fasten securely to the tow eyelets on the stern end of each pontoon log. The eyelets came welded, standard on Premier branded boat, but I've seen most pontoon and many fishing boats with these. The other plastic-loop end attaches to your tow rope using the "through-the-loop, and over the barb" connection of a looped tow rope. This creates a 3-point harness that will typically not interfere with your outboard motor. Although, when performing sharp turns, it does come close to the motor or may even come in contact with the motor, but it is above the cavitation plate, and does not threaten coming in contact with the prop. My transom is slightly protruding beyond the deck. If your boat has a strongly protruding transom, this harness may not work well. I've also noticed that the kids get a more thrilling ride using a shorter tow rope, since this harness adds a little to the overall length of the tow. (A shorter rope, but still adhering to safety regulations, provides more response to tight turns. A longer rope leads to a straightline ride less thrilling ride even through the boat is turning quickly.)

DAVID P Our pontoon has two places on the back above the pontoons to hook the tow line. Our pro lemon was finding a tow line that had long enough hook lines to get the "Y" past the motor. This tow line works fine and ours is a large pontoon. We can tube or ski with this tow line.
