Yes you can switch from picture mode to video mode while underwater. It's quick and easy.

You can switch from video to camera while underwater. It's super easy too. I had a DC 800 in the past, but the new buttons on the DC 1400 are a blessing for switching modes.

JASON C The flash comes with a bracket just like the video light. Reverse it and attach it to the camera, then attach the video light bracket under it with the supplied longer screw-knob.
