Questions about this item:
Shopper how do you remove the plastic screen protector without damaging it?
GREG C The silver ring is basically just a decorative trim piece. Remove it and the plastic shield just falls out. You may need to work the computer out of the wrist boot a little ways.
PETER S It has to be gently bent while prying on one side. It pops out fairly easily.
Peter
Priscylla Z I have one of this but the band is broken where I can buy a new one to replace it?
GREG C I would recommend a DSS bungee mount instead of the watch bands.
BRIAN R I think you'll have to send it back in to Uwatec, but first you should contact Leisurepro because they are very good about playing middle-man with the companies they represent. They advocate strongly for the customer. Best case is always to support your Local Dive Shop! (LDS). If they go out of business, we're all screwed.
zephyr J Is the alarm loud enough?
MICHAEL S Alarm is definately loud enough when not wearing a hood, with a hood and increased task loading one may not hear the alarm, but it is audible with a hood. Visual display is good and alarms can be anticipated for example while using the ascent display. Great 2 gas computer used in conjunction with a dive plan.
PAUL H I have had no problem hearing the alarm...so, yes, it is.
Shopper I often read about Aladin 2G Wrist Computer and Aladin Tek 2G Wrist computer but never find them compared. Are they two different devices and what is the difference?
Brett H The 2g is the new replacement of the Tec 2g, it has a few tweaks that they have done to it, but it is almost the exactly same computer. As I recall they added apnea (freedive) mode and a stop watch in gauge mode.
Shopper Does this computer has a time mode that displays time/date like a digital wathc?
Brett H While this computer does have the time and date in it , it will not display this all the time when the computer is not in use, the computer will eventually shut off. Time and date is mainly used to stamp on the dive logs the computer stores.
Shopper Does this unit support both Metric and Imperial system (PSI vs BAR) ?
MICHAEL S Yes, the Aladin 2G allows the user to select metric vs imperial settings.

Whats in the box:Wrist Computer, Screen Protector and Owners Manual Aladin 2G is a clear example of relentless developement. Engineered for technical divers who want specific features for total freedom in full safety, and for recreational divers who appreciate detailed, yet easily accessible information, but want the possibility to evolve in the sport. The ALADIN 2G combines this sophisticated algorithm with the compact size and accessibility of the Aladin family. PDIS (Profile Dependent Intermediate Stops) optimizes your dive by calculating an intermediate stop based on how much nitrogen uptake your body has endured, taking into account your current dive, previous dives and breathing mixes. PDIS is a unique scientific application for safer technical and recreational diving. Apnea mode with unique features specific to the science of Freediving, and separate logbook. Gauge mode: operates as technical depth gauge to a depth of 394ft, with one-press stopwatch function. Unique in the diving industry, in this mode it displays a continuously updated average depth, which can be reset by the diver at any time. Bookmark function during dive: highlight specific moments with a simple button press and add comments in the SmartTRAK profile later. Altimeter: accurately measures altitude with a 50ft resolution. The altitude alarm (patent pending) alerts the diver when approaching an altitude incompatible with saturation status due to a recent dive.
