my previous veo 2.0 has this problem (the menu keeps on scrolling, all the buttons will not respond). It was replace under warranty. my new veo 2.0 has similar problem again after using for 11 months (132 nitrox dives). maybe this dive computer has a factory defect.

Found this on sale and decided it was probably a good buy as a first/backup PDC... the manuals make no sense at all and if you have no prior experience with an oceanic computer or their algorithms, I STRONGLY suggest that you take the virtual class offered online (divecomputertraining)I noticed that the variable ascent rate indicator was SUPER touchy and seemed to have a personality of it's own. you could never ascend too slow (my pp2.1 never flashed when this thing did) and notice how i said "flashed"? i say that because the speaker for the audible alarm is pressed up against your suit and this thing is impossible to hear. Forget about night diving with this thing, too. it's 3 second backlit display makes it impossible to manage your ascent rate because you CANT SEE IT! Overall, I would say this is a good addition as a backup and certainly better than the BUD that oceanic makes, but I would not suggest that anyone depend on it as a primary.

My first use with this wrist mount was in Bonaire this past week. The computer functioned perfectly through 18 dives with no issues. This is my first wrist-mounted unit and it took very little time to get accustomed to. Large display was easy to read even though I use reading glasses on the surface! It took very little practice to learn the sequence and menus. Very intuitive.

After being frustrated with the Suunto algorithms, I bought two of these for myself and my daughter. After two trips, one in CA, and a week in Cozumel, I am very impressed and happy with the Oceanic. Everything you need in a simple hockey puck wrist computer. You have to memorize what the different letters in the menu structure mean, but once you get it dialed in, it's a snap to use!
