Whats in the box:1st Stage, 2nd Stage, LP Hose, Owners Manual
Aeris' 400 Sport second stage will be the work horse of your dive gear; it will keep you breathing easily dive after dive. The Aeris 400 Sport uses a high performance over-balanced diaphragm first stage with environmental seal. The first stage has two HP and 4 LP ports, weighs 29 oz (822 g). The all chrome plated marine brass first stage regulator is an over balanced diaphragm design which is environmentally sealed. The diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for the surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance.
The 400 Sport 's lightweight design and patented orthodontic mouthpiece mean you'll be comfortable and breathing easily throughout your dive and won't face post-dive jaw discomfort once you've returned to the surface. Now available with MaxFlex Hose which is a lightweight, flexible, braided hose designed to outperform and outlive traditional rubber hoses. The Aeris 400 Sport second-stage has an outer ring diameter of only 2.67" (6.8 cm) and 7 oz (198 g) weight. The Sport's second stage is made from an ABS/Polycarbonate composite blend of materials making it both extremely rugged and lightweight, reducing jaw fatigue on extended dives. The extremely lightweight cover ring is machined from a solid piece of aircraft aluminum, and then hard anodized, utilizing a unique process to prevent corrosion.
The 400 Sport is classified as being suitable for use with nitrox breathing gas mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen by volume without the need for special preparation, cleaning or component parts. Second stage comes with a venturi control switch. The venturi assist deflector vane directs airflow from the valve directly to the mouthpiece producing a smooth "venturi assisted" inhalation. Turning the venturi assist down, to a pre-dive position, prevents regulator free-flow while on the surface. All Aeris regulators come with an owner's manual and a 24 month limited warranty.
