Follow the the directions and thats it. If you do put to much on just wipe it with a paper towel or rag. Run the zipper up and down a few times and check around the zipper for any build up and wipe away. I use this on my jacket to.

Take your old orange wax and through out the window on the way to your next dive. You only need a little bit, just wipe excess with a paper towl. Once you use this stuff you will keep one in every box. When it starts to build-up in the zipper just hit it with a dry toothbrush and a paper towl. My zipper is TEN years old because of this stuff.
