Citizen Eco-Drive is fueled by light, it never needs a battery. Eco-Drive it's unstoppable. Eco-drive technology harnesses the power of light from any light source. Both natural and artificial light are absorbed through the crystal and the dial, than a special solar cell converts light and stores it as energy. The cell recharges continuously in any kind of light. It runs for at least six months even in the dark.

This watch is equipped with a water sensor that automatically switches the watchto the diving mode when water is detected.

The following parameters are displayed during diving: Current depth (up to 300'), current time, current water temperature, dive time and maximum depth are displayed digitally. Elapsed dive time is indicated with the minute hand. Maximum depth is indicated with the function hand. Various warning functions areprovided for safe diving. A depth alarm sounds and the LED flashes when the set depth has been exceeded, and a dive time alarm sounds along with the LED flashing when the set dive time has been exceeded. An ascent warning "SLOW" is displayed on the digital display in the case of a rapid ascent. Up to 20 sets ofdiving log data are automatically stored in memory. Once the dive is completed the watch will calculate your surface interval. The following can be performed after diving: Log data recorded during diving (including log number, dive date, maximum depth, and lowest water temperature along with dive time) can be recalled.

Travel Time Function: This function lets you easily display the local time when traveling overseas or traveling on business. In addition, daylight savings timecan be set for each city. Alarm: This watch is equipped with three alarm modes.(The alarm tones are different.) EL light Function: An EL light function is provided to make it easier to see the display in low light conditions. Watch also displays a calendar and has 12/24 hour formats.

Fully charging the watch with an overhead office light is usually insufficient, to achieve a full charge from a completely depleted power reserve, however, office light is sufficient for keeping the watch continually charged. It is recommended to use natural outdoor light, or recharge indoors with an incandescent (3,000 Lux) bulb 20" away from the watch in 150 hours, outdoors, cloudy (10,000 Lux) 45 hours and outdoors, sunny (100,000 Lux) in 9.5 hours.
