After years of inactivity, I wanted to start training for oceanic diving again, working out in my pool. I needed a fin that would help me progressively get my legs in shape, and being over 50, didn't want to use the U.S.Navy stiff blades I used in my younger days for fear of cramping and becoming discouraged. I find these fins to be excellent for re-conditioning those who want to get back to using a stiff, large-blade fin for open water oceanic diving, or training beginners in becoming comfortable using fins. They also would be ideal for warm water relatively calm and current free lagoon snorkeling for first-time skin divers. They are neutrally buoyant; easy to put on and take off in the water. And they are of the quality that has been the tradition of Cressi Sub products. I've been a divemaster since 1983 with much open water and working experience; beginner's fins don't get better than these.

Would be perfect for swimmer looking for more leg exercise. I cut them down by an inch and a half. Because they are sized large I have to wear the Speedo fin socks to keep them from rubbing. The socks and cut down fins are now my regular fins but having to deal with drying fin socks sucks.

Comments about Cressi Light Short Swim Full Foot Fins:

I wear a size woman's 9.5-10 and I got the 8.5-9.5 and they are too large. Otherwise they seem like a really nice light-weight fin. I also have wide feet so I think these will be quite comfortable once I get my right size. I wish this site would be a little more specific in terms of sizing.

Use them smorkeling and like smaller size can fit in my backpack with my snorkel, mask and other items, wouldn't trade them for anything.

Comments about Cressi Light Short Swim Full Foot Fins:

Like the fins for the pool and even for a little open water play. Bought them for bodysurfing and body board. Really helped catch waves but had trouble keeping them on my feet and eventually lost them in some real heavy surf. 50-60 hrs of use before losing and was able to recover several times in clearer water and smaller surf. Bound to happen if you're in the waves long enough.

I'm womens size 7. Bought 5.5/6.5 and too big. Reordering one size down. Small fin, comfortable, good for exercise swimming, not good for currents.

We take our own snorkeling equipment with us when we travel and these fins fit into our suitcase snorkel bags perfectly. They provide good speed while snorkeling and good dive speed. Excellent exercise.
