Questions about this item:
Shopper This cressi comanche 110 cm comes with a spear-tip provided?
MAX L Is very light, but is to big co care in travel bag, if like to buy something like that, look for one have a separation on center, so u can pack in travel bag. with out problem.
ANDREY N Yes,
It is not a whale killer, but it does its job very well and you get the fish from the spear fast.
BTW. I love my comanche. I shot about 80 snappers now with it since I bought it 3 months ago, and would take snooks many times easily, if it was legal.
If you buy it, the manual is a bit obscure about connecting the line. Surf the Web the answers, or just figure out how to connect the line (no "single wire" as in manual).
Shopper Spear-gun is it rigged, I meant the spear?
RODNEY T no string comes separate. you have to rig it yourself
Tim M How does line connect to Shaft?
ANDREY N there is a small hole on the end of the spear. Pull the line through it (I know it's not easy), tie the know few inches away so that the knot doesn't jam the release. Pull the other end thru the front "nose" of the gun, and attach the line to one of the mounts in the front
Tim M Thank ou for your help!!
Tim M Thanks very much !!
Tim M Hey how do you attach the line to the spear shaft on this model? Just got it brand new and the only way i can see is a hole on bottom of spear shaft but then how will that work when it has to go insided the gun or trigger mec.
PIKE A you cannot tie a knot it will catch on the end of the gun break the line and the shaft will keep going, DANGEROUS!!! it is supposed to be a copper grommit but you cant find them anywhere!, Don't risk using it it could injure or kill someone when the line breaks:(
TOM C This was my first speargun. I am still a beginner by I bagged a couple fish this summer here in the Northeast.
I wondered the same question. Attach the line to the end of the spear with a bowline knot. Use a big enough loop so that the knot of the bowline is outside the trigger mechanism. There is plenty of space around the shaft at the tip of the gun to allow everything to flow smoothly out.
Should work for you Tim.
Tim M Thanks for your Help Tom!!
MEHDI B yes, that is true...in other models that whole in the back of the spear shaft isn't that far away, but you have to force it in...plus when you wet it and use it a bit it will get thinner and slide better in there. Otherwise most people do not use the line that comes with the comanche but make their own setting with some thinner crimped heavy test line...
CHRISTOPHER R I used a basic no slip loop knot. The knot is about 2 inches from the hole.
PETER S Just tie with a bowline knot. This way you can keep the actual knot away from the shaft with at least 2 inches. When pressing spear into trigger mech, just make sure line is tight going forward. Once spear is set in trigger mech This way line does not clash with trigger mech), you do not need to worry about line pointing forward anymore.
BURAK O Use the bowline knot where the knot is away from the whole so it does not get in to the mechanism. There are many examples on youtube. Also use a bungee on the other end of the line. good luck
Tim M Model is a Cressi-sub Comamche 1m
Shopper What is the range of the 110cm?
Tom A I say like a good 15 feet or maybe more.
Brett H Though every gun and every shot is different you would see the maximum range of the gun being about 15 ft, and anything closer than that would be better.
Shopper what is the range?
MANUEL L on a Cressi Comanche 100 cm. range will be 10 ft.
you will be able to penetrate a fish that is 2 inches thick
from 10 ft away. with the factory shaft!
JUNI P I was able to shoot few sea bass in 3 yards range, just OK feeling. I would say the most is 5 yards.
PETER S approx 6 ft effective range, 10 ft total range.
YAIR C Around 10 to 13 feet original shafts and rubber bands
PHILIP G It's about 8-10 ft comfortably from tip of gun, but on the furthest notch, you could pull off a 15 ft shot if you aimed perfectly.
ANA S mine is 90 cm cressi comanche, i have been shooting fishes from 10 to 20 feet and it is very powerfull speargun. think may be the light shaft helps a lot... becouse the gun only has one sling
Shopper how long is the 60cm?
YAIR C The small one its 60 cm
brandon m how many slings can it hold ?
Brett H It comes setup with a single sling, It looks like you could add a second circular sling but the mfg does not recommend doing this.
