STANLEY D How does the tank strap fasten down to Velcro with trim weight bags in the way?
ANN F The weight bags are not in the way of the tank straps. Really nice BCD. I am 5'9" and 170 lbs. men's medium fits perfectly.
MARK P The weight bags slide. You slide it out of the way, lock the tank strap, slide it back.
I did 10 dives in 5 days with my new Aquaride Elite and LOVED it..
BRENT S This is no problem whatsoever. The trim weight pockets are very easily removable. They are also velcro strapped to the tank strap. All you will need to do is remove the right side trim pocket and tighten down the tank strap and replace the trim pocket, or in my case I have that trim pocket just loose enough that I can tighten the tank starp and then slide the excess strap inbetween the tank strap and trim pocket. Should not be of any concern. It is a great bcd and very comfortable. I highly reccomend this product.
Miyuki S If you are talking about trim weight bags that attach to the band there should still be sufficient velcro to secure that tank.

I just inspected my Cressi Aquaride Elite BCD and it does not have pocket drain holes, that I can see/find. That being said, I have done 10 dives in this BCD and have never had water remain in the pockets once I came ashore or climbed into the dive boat. This is the best BCD I have EVER used. I can't explain it, it's just perfect. The fit, the performance and you need very little weight in the Lock Aid System. I think I should buy another in case Cressi ever discontinues this model. You won't go wrong buying this. I would recommend going smaller than you think with the large size. The medium is huge. Good luck.
JOHN T I am a newly certified diver. Sorry I don't know about the pockets. The material used seems to drain out excess water. The area between the pockets and the inflation bladder does collect some water though. Overall I am pleased the jackets quality and fit.

JEREMY K it will depend on your waist to chest height. I have the same problem tho im 6'3" and have a large chest. so i went with a large and it can be tight with all gear on in chest but as for waist i have it allthe way tight and it still is a 1/2" loose with a 7mm suit
Shopper Is this BCD's inflator compatible with Atomic's SS1 Safe Second? If not, can I retrofit an older Cressi inflator hose so I can use the SS1? Thanks.
JOHN T Works very good with my SS1. Hose is a little short, but still adequate to use the secondary. you may have to turn the hose a little to attach the low pressure hose from the primary. There is a wider section that can make it a little difficult.

GARY P I actually am purchasing Atomics SSI Safe Second for this BCD. I contacted Atomic directly, and was told it would work fine.
MICHAEL R Yes it is compatible. I've got this configuration myself and it works great. The only difficulty I've had is the length of the hose back to the BCD limits how far you can move your head around when breathing from the SS1. This may be a problem with all combo inflators / octos.

First Name L Not sure of size to get from the size chart. I've got a 46" chest, 38" waist, and weigh 215 lbs. L or XL?
LAURENCE H I have a 42" chest and bought the Med and it seems to be a tad too small. I draw it tight to fit. Don't get the XL, the Med or Large will do.
Randy D I have a 42" chest and bought a large. It is a little too big on me. I have to sinch it up tight to make it fit.
CHRISTOPHER S XL would be the right size for you. The large would be too small.

Whats in the box:BCD, LP Hose, Releasable Weight Pockets, Inflator and Owner's Manual The Cressi Aquaride Elite BCD is a versatile Jacket Style BCD for both the traveling diver and the professional diver. The durable, yet lightweight 420 denier Nylon high lift air cell, a simplified harness for ease of donning and doffing and integrated Lock Aid quick-release weight system all make this one great buoyancy Compensator. The shape of the air cell with distribution of lift on the sides offers a natural trim when diving. The BCD is equipped with two large zippered accessory pockets for storage of your back-up light or small digital camera. Pockets supply more room then on other BCD's which can barely hold your dive gloves. The integrated Lock Aid quick-release weight system hold up to 20 lbs (9 kg), with 10 lbs (4.5 kg) in each pocket, and two additional rear non-releasable trim weight pockets that help increase stability in the water. The back support with carry handle is rigid for proper cylinder stability, but is fully padded for comfort. The elastic waistband/cummerbund harness assembly is an independent suspension system that allows the cylinder and the diver to keep proper stability and avoid cylinder shifting on the back, while allowing the BCD's air cell to fully inflate away from the diver not causing restriction or crushing effect as with non-ergonomic designs. Adjustable sternum straps along with both torso adjustment straps are equipped with quick-release buckles. The BCD has three over-pressure relief/dump valves with two located on the left and right shoulders and a third lower valve on the rear right of the air cell. All three can be manually dumped two with pull cords and the other with the power inflator mechanism. There are D-rings on the shoulder straps and two D-rings on the pocket lobes with two additional at front waist for attachment of instruments and accessories. Cressi Aquaride Elite has the new Cressi Inflator mechanism, is available in 5 sizes from XS to XL with lift capacities ranging from 22.4 to 54.8 lbs (10.2 to 25.5 kg). The Aquaride Elite comes with an Owner's Manual and is covered by a 12 month limited warranty.
