Questions about this item:
Barbara M there are two Bare wetsuits I am considering---the one for $109.95 and the one for $124.95.
It appears I fall into the 10+ size range but will go home and do accurate measurements.
Does the one for $124.95 come with pink trim as well as blue?
My current suit has lasted me for almost 15 years but now that I have lost some weight is too baggy and was only a skin.
these I am looking at are 3mm?
YVONNE K the one i bought is the 3/2 Bare velocity. I love it. it has a lot of give so it's easy to get on and off. it does have pink trim and is very comfortable.

amandabk a I tried this on and really liked the fit, but there was an air pocket between the suit and my lower back. Is that supposed to be there? Seems like water/cold would get in there.

CLIFF P I wore this in Bali and didn't notice any extra cold in the back. Could be the fit in your hips allows a pocket. If any water does get in, it will warm just like any other air space in the wetsuit. Hope you like it, I loved the fit. Enjoy!

KAREN V I can't help you with that, asI don't seem to have that air pocket as an issue. I do love my suit, tho.
VINH N an air pocked is not suppose to be there. maybe it's too big? try a smaller size.
CAROL H any air pockets will go away underwater as the air bubbles shrink as you go deeper.
STEPHEN E It's hard to say for sure if this is a fit problem for you or not. Really only you can judge that, these are very flexible suits, so if it seems big, it likely is big.
However, I would have you remember a few things: A. it is a WET suit, it is designed to allow water in to your skin, where your body warms it. The key is that the entry points, arms legs and neck are reasonable sealed, so you are not constantly pumping your warm water out and allowing new water in. B. this is a 3/2 mil wet suit designed for tropical waters...sort of 78+ area. So you aren't going to get hit with "cold water" because you are in relatively warm water already.
I love this suit, it's easy on and off, and provides adaquate warmth and exposure protection. I have 30+ dives in mine, and it's my go to suit in high 70 low 80 water. Mid 70's and below I opt for a 5 mil, and below 70 I am in a 7 mil.

EDMOND J First, I'm a man and I bought the suit for my daughter so this is second hand information. However, I dive with her all the time.
Yes, she also had a pocket at her lower back when first putting the suit on, but that disappears really quickly when you get in the water.
It's a great suit - her second Bare 3/2 Velocity. (I have two as well, though one is 7 mm).

andrea d I'm trying to determine which size would be best for me @ 5'1" tall, 33" chest, 31" waist, and 37" hips? Based on the sizing chart, I don't exactly fit into any of the sizes!
DEBORAH K Cannot offer specifics on sizing for individual people, but the suit I ordered was quite generous in its sizing. Love the suit -- it has been perfect for several trips to Bonaire -- has held up well.

I am 5'2" with a muscular build and fairly similar measurements. (give or take 2 inches). This suit fits me perfectly - in length and otherwise. This is an exceptionally comfortable, durable suit. I recommend it highly. I suspect it will fit you, as well. It has great flexibility.

YVONNE K Hi Andrea, I'll try tot help. I'm 5'4" very chesty but not so much butt. I had lost about 20 lbs prior to ordering my first suit. so needless to say i had ordered one too big. It was black friday weekend and I called Leisure Pro that night. The GUY I spoke to was more then helpful. I followed his advise on what suit to order and all worked out great.I bought the Velocity Full suit. It is very comfortable. A lot stretch to it. The womens suit has more room in the hip area which is great for most women. Not me. I love the suit but most I loved the advise and help I got from the staff at Leisure Pro. Hope this helps.
SUSAN L G bare suits tend to have shorter arms and legs than henderson suits, so i would base your decision on hips. another factor is the stretchability of these new neoprenes, they are amazing. dive safe!
JENNIFER D Since wetsuits are supposed to fit relatively snug, I would suggest going to a local dive shop and trying on different brands and sizes for fit/comfort, then purchasing here. That's what I did. I am 5'3", 110 lbs, chest 32", waist 26", hips 36" and the size 6 was a good fit for me.
SHARON K I bought the 10+. I'm shorter than you, wide in most of the usual wide parts. It fits fine. The sleeve length isn't a problem, expect a few wrinkles that aren't uncomfortable. BTW, Leisure Pro is great with returns so if it doesn't fit, you can try something else.
DJOKO S Please remember that this wetsuit is very flexible. If you think you are on the short side, Bare comes with the "Short" sizing. Go for that. The good thing is, as always, you can return it for refund if it does not fit you. My wife is only 5'1" and she weighs 160 lbs. She was able to find a size that she is very happy with. Good luck!

RANDAL R My wife is 5"4" 145lbs chest 32, waist 28, hips 38 - she purchase a size 10 - was snug but worked great in the water. She also tried a 12 but way too big in the top.

I think you'd be fine in a 6. I am 5'2" ,chest 34", waist 28" hip 35" and I purchased a size 8 which is comfortable on me.

suit is extremely flexible
review the size chart and chose for yourself. there is a return policty for you to exchange if it doesn't fit.

Lisa H How does this wetsuit compare to the bare progressive stretch wetsuit?
STEPHEN E I'm not sure how to answer the question. My wife and I both bought this suit and we dove them for 5 dives a day for a week and were very pleased with them. I'm not sure how good a test this was for the thermal properties of the suit since all our dives were in 86+ water. The suits were easy on and off.
For the price I felt like they were a great value.

VINH N I've only tried on the progressive stretch wetsuit in the store. They feel the same. The velocity fits petite size great. Definitely one of the better 3/2 on the market. More comfortable than Pinnacle and better fit (and design) than Neosport.

RANDAL R I think they are very similar - can comment on this suit. Purchased for my wife in March for trip to Honduras in May. Ended up getting both 10+ and 12+ to try two sizes, My wife is 5'4" - 145 lbs - the 10+ was snug and took effort to get on but the 12+ was baggy on top (she has wider hips). Ended up with the 10+ and she was happy - not too hard to put on since it stretches and she liked the more snug fit once you have other gear on. Water temp was 80 degrees and some days it was breezy when we got out on the boat. Suit kept her warm without being too hot. Made 15 dives and no issues. Have to admit she looked great in it as well. Would recommend - great suit, great price.
BRIAN H II bought a mens for me and womans for my wife we used them on a dive trip on Maui and they were prefect. Fit wise they
are the same I have both styles bare is the only wet suit for me and yes my wife does love hers too . Hope this helps
DJOKO S Never tried the progressive stretch suit. All I know is that this is the best suit I ever wear. I have an odd body shape at 5'2" 165lbs, and this suit fits me like a glove. I wore it on a dive in Lombok Island, Indonesia, and several Caribbean sites. Glad I bought this suit.

I'm not really able to answer that. My daughter has two of the velocity full suits (as do I) and we really like them because they come in sizes that fit real people as opposed to models. They are very stretchable and have been quite durable as well. However, that is the most that I can say given that it is one of only two Bare models that we own. (The other is a very heavy arctic model for cold water diving and it is not at all stretchy).

LeisurePro S Glideseal allows minimal water transfer in the suit by making a seal with your skin and the suit, nothing to do with zippers so one can not compare them.
