Questions about this item:
Jake N I have a pair of Cressi Reaction Pro Fins. Do you think I will be able to fit my foot in my fins with these boots?
TERRY S I have XL oceanic V16 fins w/XL springs on them, and they fit good on my foot
REUBEN D I have a set of scubapro super jet fins x-large. They barely fit these booties mine are size 10. However, I frequently dive in water 40 to 45 degrees. My feet have never got cold in these booties. The soles are very good for rocks.
PAUL S I don't know how large the boot pocket is in those fins. These boot are great, but do require a larger boot pocket! You will never have cold feet with these booties! Hope this helps
Paul
JEFF D I did not notice any fitting issues with these boots as compared to my Bare 5 mm boots. These fit fine in my fins. I use Twin Jets.
AKIRA T This boot is much wider than my other boot.
In may case, I could not wear my fin.
JOEL D these boots are big i gonna say no i bought a pair of used xl fins and there not big enough mine are size 11 but the boots itself is very warm when the water is below 40 degrees i wear mine
joel
FRANK B These boots have a pretty thick sole . If you can put on a pair of sneakers and they fit in your fins, that will give you the proper scale. They are great boots.Warm and rugged. We use them climbing in and out of barnicle riddled jetty rocks. No issues yet.
BUTCH S I guess that would depend on the size of the boot, but I can tell you that I had to purchase extra large fins to accomodate this boot because it has a very thick (nice) sole. I have size 11's ...they do run big so order at least one size smaller than your regular shoes..
MYLES M No idea but they fit in my Atomic split fins, size 11 shoe and XL fins,
DAVID P These boots are huge. I have siZe 10 and can't fit them in xl fins
Jake N I live in Washington and want to spear fish for ling cod next month. The water temp will be about 51. Any suggestions for cold feet since these boots won't fit?
DAVID P I dove all winter in lake water that is 53 - 58F. I wore a regular 5 mil boot with lava core socks. My toes got somewhat cold but I was able to do 60 minute dives so it wasn't that bad. I'm a big fan of lava core socks. They are neutrally buoyant so you don't get floaty feet. I also found that it helps to have a tight fitting boot and pre-charge it with warm water.
Hope that helps.
Fred N has anyone tried these with force fins? I wonder about the thick sole... I wear size ten boots and XL force fins....
MARIO D I can't say for certain, but they should fit. I use them with the scubapro jet fins and they're fine. As long as they have a deep pocket, you should be okay. Mine are a size 12 with an DL fin and steel bands. Hope this helps.
GLENN G I use mine with Force Fins (size 12 boot and XXL fins). No problems with them at all.
TAE H I liked the most about thick sole of this boots,
It is comfortable, warm and give you enough protection also.
You will feel just like sports shoes when you walk on the ground.
I wear size 9 boots, it matches perfectly with my
size large twin jet max fins, i guess size 10 is okay with XL fins
But i am not sure about how big is xl size force fins...
Thanks
Pam T Do these boots run narrow or wide?
CHRIS P I think mine ran a bit narrow. I normally wear a mens 10 wide shoe, ordered a 9 and they were a bit snug but i am thinking a 10 would be too big... we ordered a 6 for a womans 8 and they fit very well.
RYAN K They seem to run true to size. I'm an 11.5 with a foot that is on the wider side and they are perfect
ERIN C I found them to be a little narrow with a high insole.
ANDREW F I am a male with a size 10 standard width foot, and I love these boots
erin b I am a new member of a water rescue team. Currently I'm issued a drysuit without feet. Next year I may get issued the better suit with the feet. Will these boots suit my needs for both suits or do they risk falling off of a dry suit with feet?
CURTIS R I don't think these boots would work with a dry suit with feet. Even if they stay on I think they would be very uncomfortable.
JOHN S Get rock boots or a boot with zippers, these will hold water and not drain.
RICHARD B Well if the other suit has boots on it you will not need these. But they will work for the suite without the boots .
CECIL C They stay securely on your feet, but they get a bit sloppy when filled with water. The top of the boot fits pretty snug above the ankle. If you're worried, you can always add gaiters and wrap them around the top of the boot / bottom of the drysuit.
RICHARD H Hi Erin,
Based on how mine fit, I don't think there is any chance of the coming off by themselves. I actually have to work pretty hard to get them off after diving. They make a nice tight seal on my leg. I think they would work fine as long as you have room for the dry suit feet.
erin b do you wear wool socks with these or bare feet?
ARTHUR A Bare feet only. These are the best booties I have ever bought and I buy ALOT
STEPHEN S I've never worn socks with dive boots. Bare products are top quality and wouldn't see the need for socks with the 7 mm boots.
STEPHEN B I bought the boots for use in the Pennsylvania area during the winter while metal setecting in draw-down lakes. I moved to Florida shortly thereafter and never got to use them.
MARTIN L I've been using these boots in the Caribbean, so no socks. If I was diving locally (Los Angeles) I would consider socks, but at 7mm, they are pretty thick.
NATHAN H bare feet they are warm.
JENNIFER R They are worn on bare feet.
STEPHEN R They are wet Suit boots...So bare feet will be fine.
HARUHIKO E I wear neoprene socks for winter diving (around 55F) and bare foot if water warmer than 65F
HARRISON B I do not wear wool socks, nor do the rest of my dive team. I suppose you could, but it probably won't be necessary.
Happy diving!
Harrison
GROCER C M I wore socks the first time out but water got in the shoes so I'll be barefoot next time. I'm walking around in a river and not diving in these. While the water was very cold and the boot allowed water in, my feet were never cold.
EDWARD P Bare feet. I've been diving for a few months short of 30 years. I have honestly never seen anyone wearing socks with their neoprene boots.
AKIRA T I dive at Palos Verdes, Southern California. Water temp. is 45-60 F? in winter. I never wear socks. This boots is comfortable enough for me.
SHANNON L I go bare feet, great product.
ALEX V Bare feet, no socks. You get water inside the boots.
WAYNE M I wore these boots bare foot on my trip to the Channel Islands and was plenty warm and very comfortable
ANDREW M No ! you simply slid these on . they are like a wet sock with a boot like durable tread. they limit and slow the water circulating around your feet like a wetsuit. they fit a little narrow for me but my son really likes them for comfort. they also keep your feet relatively warm in 60 degree waters in our experience.
DENNIS H I wear them with bare feet. Make sure wetsuit goes over top of the boots.
Brooke N I don't wear anything under these boots. I love them! They are easy to get on and off and keep my feet nice and warm. They're great.
WARREN B I wear them with bare feet however I have not had a chance to try them in cold H2O yet.
angie t I have a size 11 wide (EE) foot. What size should I choose?
REUBEN D I would bu size eleven
REUBEN D I wear A 9 1/2 boat and chose the size from the chart. You will need an X-Large Fin. These booties are larger than others.
JAMES H These boots run true to size if not a little big. I wear size 13 or 14 EE shoes, depending on the manufacturer and I fit very comfortably in the 13. I really like these boots for diving in the pacific, plenty sturdy and no warmth issues.
CAROL M I wear a women's size 7.5, so I ordered the men's size 5 (a 2.5 size difference). It is snug, but comfortable. Since you require a wider shoe, maybe you should try a men's 9 (a 2 size difference). A men's 10 may be a little long, but it would give you more room (I wouldn't go any bigger than that).
BRIAN J I loved my boots, but I would go a little larger than foot size.
Brian
MERRICK G I don't think they come in wide so I would get a 12 so your foot is a little comfortable. This boot seems to conform to your foot once you put it on. I like this boot for cold water diving. You can't even tell how cold the water is.
KORY B I wear a 10.5 and purchased an 11 which fits perfect so you may want to go a size up
Shopper do they have zippers ?
RICHARD B Sorry no thhey Don't but they are a great boot
ERIK L They do not have zippers. Very warm boot.
IRA S No, and they seem to run true to size
GRANT W The boots don't have a zipper. I bought a pair for my wife. She said that they are very comfortable and kept her feet warm in 52 degree water. Because of the sole she needed to adjust the spring straps on her fins. I recommend checking/adjusting this before you get to the dive location.
STEVEN P No zipper but i bought these boots after having zipper boots and have to say these are the best boot i have ever worn. they slide on and off just as easy as a zipper style. they also run a little large so keep that in mind when you pick a size.
AARON L No, these are just pull-on.
CURTIS C Hello,
No they don't have side zippers but they are easy on./ off. This is the first pair of non zipper boots I have ever bought. I was afraid they would be difficult to work with and either be too tight at the top or not tight enough letting water in. I've even diving for 7 years and I have to say these are the best booties I've ever owned.
Curtis Creech
Recreational diver
GLENN G Nope, no zippers. Even so, they are easy to put on and not too hard to get off.
STEPHEN L no, they do not.
MARIO D There are two versions of the Bare 7mm boot. I have one pair with zippers and one without. If I am correct, the pair you are looking to purchase does NOT have any zippers. I hope this helps you.
CECIL C No zipper on this boot. The boots feel great and fit well, but they do not dry out. Despite hanging them upside-down on a gear hanger for a week, they are still soggy inside. They also stink since they don't ever dry out.
ALF D They do not have zippers. Shame on LP, you should know the product you are selling and be able to answer these simple questions.
THOMAS P No Zippers but very warm and easy to put on. I'm a partner in a Marine Dive Service and have been doing it for nine years. Most of our work is cleaning boat bottoms. These are the warmest boots we have ever used. We have been using them five or six months four to five days a week. They still work well.
STEVE S No, which is why I bought them. My feet are so much warmer in these than my zipper boots!
I dive in water that is about 48 degrees right now. My friends and I have a system that is a little odd but works well for almost eliminating water entry into our suits and keeping our feet warm. First layer is a 3mm low booty that only covers the foot and the second layer is a pair of 7mm zipper-less boots that are a size larger to accommodate the 1st layer. These are worn OVER the wetsuit. The third layer is something we call "Spats" which are about 6'' cut off the bottom legs of an old wetsuit that goes over the boots. The result is I don't feel any cold water as I walk in to start the dive.
ERIC F No, they do not have zippers. The intent is to create a relatively tight upper ankle to prevent water from coming in.
GARY P No zippers. Thai is why we bought them. Love these boots.
GARY P No dipper's. Thai is why we bought them. Love these boots.
CURTIS R No they don't. They slip on
MICHAEL C No zipper, they slip on and off nicely without feeling like they will fall off.
HENRY B no zippers.
top fits tight and kinda hard to get on and off, but once you figure how, it is easy.
very warm and great support for feet.
they do need zippers
Shopper I wear an 11.5 (mens). Should I go up or down a size in these boots?
STEVEN P I wear a 9.5 -10 and went with a 9 and they fit great. I would size down if I where you. These boots are real nice, I was surprised for the price. Great deal as always with Leisurepro!
DAVID S My foot size is 11 and my 11 boot fit so comfortably perfect that I wish I had shoes so comfortable. I would go up to a 12 your foot may be a little cramped in a 11.
SHENG D I bought 1/2 size large, fits ok, those boots are hard to get in even though I am very familiar with open cell freediving wetsuits.
DANIEL L I went up a half size and they fit fine.
FIRE H I purchased my actual size and they fit perfect. I dive in 40 degree water and am comfortable.
AARON L Get 1/2 size smaller. Nothing worse than sliding around inside your boots when wet & scrambling over a rocky shoreline loaded down with dive gear.
Shopper Are the sizes listed as Men's sizes?
LeisurePro S Yes, men's sizes are listed--women should order 1.5/2 sizes down.
