Meghan L Can these latex seals be adapted to a neoprene drysuit that originally has neoprene seals?
PHILLIP H Yes, latex seals can be place or added to a neoprene suit, Prep is the key, remove old seal as close as as possible to the neoprene taking care not to cut the neoprene. check fit and postion of new seal to cuff / colar location,. use bleach bottle or other device to support shape of neoprene at seal and provide for some type of pressure clamp around new glued seal. follow the recomendations on your choice of neoprene glue and let set for a min of 24 hours before removing pressure clamps. There are a number of refrenaces online and books to illistrate the method. take your time to research along with making the repair as well. if in in question take it to a dive professional to make the repairs.
STEVE J The biggest problem was getting the right glue, check with the dry suit company to be sure you have glue that will work on the neoprene suit to latex seal. As long as the seal and the sleave are matched in size.
HARRISON B I don't see why not. I've had success using them on trilaminate and vulcanized rubber.
MARLIN M These seals can be put on virtually any dry suit. They will just glue over the old seals.
TRAVIS V Yes...however, you will need to have proper glue and technique. These latex seals install the same as any other latex seal. So, a Google search will point you in the right direction.
