great dive gloves

About Me Professional
Comments about Blue Reef 5mm Duratex Glove with Velcro Strap Wrist Closure:
Excellent value for the price, the gloves fit well and are reinforced in the right places. I only buy kevlar palm/finger type gloves because we are constantly working with rocks and other materials that tear a normal glove up within a season. I also use these gloves during lobster season and even as a backup pair of spearfishing gloves (5mm is really too thick for a dedicated spearfishing glove). Keeps my hands warm in deep water and I'm hoping they don't fall apart over time but we'll see.

Great for tough jobs

do a lot of diving working with hands in 45 degree water. I go through a pair of gloves in less than a month. Finally got wise and ordered these. Inexpensive and very durable after 8 dives in an abrasive environment.

I only use Kevlar gloves because they are great for the type of diving I do. These gloves work fine but the durability and quality is poor. Gloves typically last two seasons for me. These gloves have only lasted one season. I prefer Deep See but Leiser pro no longer sells them.I also do not like the way the strap on these gloves work. The way the strap wraps does not work well and part of the strap ends up sticking out. I prefer the 'wrap around' style strap.
Snug fit

I usually wear a size large but it felt too tight so I reordered a size extra -large. This was better but still a little snug. I've done 4 wreck dives with them so far and there's no sign of wear. I do alot of digging & scrounging in wrecks that normally ruin a pair of new gloves quickly.
Tough Palm Material

Gloves are quite thick, but the finger design stop and the second knuckle of the finger... I guess that's okay to retain warmth, but reminds me of the poor fitting gloves I was issued in the Army.
