The strap is simply too long. If used as supplied, your flash light would hang below your wrist to catch on everything and anything within 8-10 inches below or even more since the flash light is fairly long to begin with. I had to spend several hours trying to figure out how to twist and tie the lanyard into nots to shorten it enough to be useful. The maker of this lanyard obviously has no concept or concern for the environment or equipment because the lanyard puts your flash light in harms way and by dragging so far below your wrist in a position to bang into and destroy anything in your path. Want to put a zero on the flag rating but this stupid site wont allow it.

Excellent for a number applications. It is a bit large, but if you trim the plastic tubing, you can easily make it fit any wrist (including children).

I use this item with my ab diving gear, ie...ab iron, flash lite, ab gauge while freediving for abalony. It allows you to pull it off if snaggged in kelp or rocks fast for a safe assent.
