Does what it?s supposed to and can also serve as a fill station whip.

By Michael B.

 -  Pittsburgh, PA, US

This is a nice tool to have in the truck for a dive trip, especially in remote areas. The one downside I?ve found is the hose does get super rigid under pressure (more than a normal fill whip) which actually knocked over a tank I was balancing once. So be sure to stretch it out straight and be sure to support the tanks when opening the valves.

Simple and easy to operate

By JYE C.

I use this to overfill my LP72s right before diving using HP 100. Very easy to operate. BTW, the Leisurepro customer service was great, when I had to exchange a defective one.

Ever been out diving with friends and the conditions are fantastic, yet you can't get back in the water because there are not two tanks available with enough air for a buddy team to get any descent bottom time? You got one full tank and another just under half full. If only you could equalize the two cylinders, so you have two tanks 3/4 full!

Equalize pressure between two scuba tanks with this 34" (86.36cm) long dual DIN or Yoke with bleeders equalizing device. Complete with hose, two DIN/Yoke fittings, and integrated bleeder unit, this equalizer is manufactured from marine grade chrome plated brass and durable high-pressure hose, has large impact resistant DIN/Yoke hand wheels that are even easy to handle with gloved hands. The pressure gauges have readouts of 0 to 350 bars and 0 to 5,000 psi. The gauge faces provide both metric and imperial for quick and easy pressure checking. The connector hose is a high pressure 350 bars (5,000 psi) rated working pressure hose. The connector hose is a high pressure 5,000 psi (350 bars) rated working pressure hose. DIN Cross-Over Equalizer is rated for air only. Tank to Tank Equalizer with Pressure Gauge device makes a great save-a-dive-kit item.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

SEAN S  Could you use this to fill up a 13 cu ft pony bottle for air or nitrox (up to 40% oxygen) from an 80-120 cu ft primary tank?
STEPHEN T  YES IF YOUR TANK IS ALREADY 40% OXYGEN.
C G  Yes, that's what I do with mine. I don't know how you O2 clean a hose, but I use mine to transfer O2 from one tank to another as well. Keep in mind the resulting pressure in the pony will be somewhat less than your starting pressure in the 80-120. It's an equalizer and the pressure in both will be the same.
MTC1796 R  Tank to Tank Equalizer with Pressure Gauge hello good afternoon, there is one that has both DIN & JOKE together?
Mario C  Thank you for the question and answers. The only way of doing it is ordering the din version and also a Din adapter.
JYE C  I don't think so. They either come with both DINs or both Yokes. But you can use adapters to covert one to another.
MARK S  I do not believe so. You can get either get one with both ends DIN or with both ends yoke. However, I have seen DIN to yoke adapters, so if you get the one with two DIN connections, you can screw on the adapter on one end and connect to a yoke connection.
James M  I have seen them , you would need an adapter for this one
Jim O  You can just use the din adapter In one side of the yoke to yoke whip Achieving yoke to din. Hope this helps
Angel A  Do the gauge is a brass gauge or plastic?
Ralph N  Brass gauge, same style found on your octopus
PAUL P  The Gauge is metal with a rubber boot. I don't think it is brass, but it is pretty robust.
SCOTT L  I believe It is made of metal, stainless steel I believe, and plastic/rubber. It's an industry standard. Brass is required for the non-spark property when dealing with oxygen tanks.
COASTAL L  all gauge are brass or steel covered with rubber
Daniel G  Brass. I returned this product because the din fitting cracked.
RENNY L  Can this be used to check the pressure in a single tank? How?
GUY B  I don't see how it can. The other end has to be able to withstand 3000 psi and have an area that captures the O-ring to prevent blowout. That would be a tank valve. Now if you had an old tank valve, that would work.
MICHAEL H  Unfortunately the answer is no. There are no valves in the system to isolate the pressure gauge
KIM R  Not w/o detaching the hose from the yoke that has the gauge attached and plugging the open port with an appropriate fitting.
James M  Not without a second bottle or a dummy valve to connect the other end to
ryan h  No. It has to be hooked to two tanks.
Jack P  Yes you can. Turn pressure release valve off which is located left hand side of pressure gauge. Screw in opposite end to tank
Joseph F  You can easily measure the presure in either tank. Only turn on the tank you want to measure. bleed line and open other tank and you'll have measured them both.
SCOTT L  Yes you can however you need to have two tanks connected at the same time, ensuring the tank you want to check is connect to the side with the gauge, the opposite new tank must be in the off position. You must have two tanks, one on each end.
Donald E  Yes. You just need a tank valve on each end. To measure the pressure of a single tank, you would need a second, closed, tank valve on the opposite end of the transfer hose. If you don't have a second tank, you could buy just a tank valve for the other end.
MARK S  No, not by itself. If you have another tank, you can connect the equalizer to both tanks and then just open the valve of the tank that you want to know the pressure of. Leave the other tank valve closed.
Daniel S  Probably, turn the valve off on one tank & open the other, then check pressure.
Alan T  Hook device securely to two tanks then just open valve on tank you want to check.
PRESTON S  Yes. Close the equalization valve and connect the tank to the side of the equalizer with the pressure gauge.
Werther B  This is not meant to do a single tank pressure check. However It can if you have it connected to two cylinders and the cylinder that is open is the one that you want to check.
Daniel G  No
ben p  can you use this to fill up a pony bottle from an 80cu tank?
GUY B  Yes, I do it all the time. Make sure your pony is in hydro and visual. Use your tanks with the lowest pressure to start the fill and then top it off with your freshly filled 80. That will get it closest to 3000 psi.
Joseph F  Yes ..
Christopher D  Yes. However, since this will only equalize the pressure, it will not fully fill the pony bottle but instead bring the two tanks to an equilibrium pressure
